Very fast with good bomb load. Defensive armament is lacking though.

You can’t exactly replicate the overall combination of speed, survivability (especially ability to survive fires) and punch of the 288 C (2500KG x 2). It’s why the 50% 288 C was one of the best things you could have purchased in the sale.

the ju288 finally getting 2 2500kgs honestly which are about twice the size in explosive of the 1800kg is honestly insane

Not exactly the same but high speed & good defensive armament, there’s the Fw 264 (BR 5.0) with two SC-1800.

The heavier He 177 (BR 6.0) could be an option as well with good rear armament & decent speed but can carry four of those SC-1800.

Ju 188 (BR 5.3) would be the closest to a Ju 288, but It’ll only have one SC-1800, but similar speeds & armament.

If it needs to be a SB-2500, than the He 111 H-16 is an option but is a slow aircraft with only MG’s rear (20 mm fore) but is BR 2.3.

The wiki, would likely be smarter to look at then asking a question, it can be an incredible tool before needing a question imho.
