Is this old photo of the Type 90 accurate?

I ask because it has armor along the weld lines that the current Type 90 doesn’t. The weld lines and the old armor are shown in red, and the current armor is shown in yellow.
I don’t know much about Japanese tanks; I just want to know if the old photo is correct
