I mean, any HESH change will impact vehicles that carry it, T58 included.
Just was curious to what might’ve happened to it.
As far as I know it does actually work reasonably well on the British L11 120mm cannons , as well as the 105 L7s and variants.
But I take hesh irregardless and learned to use it, sometimes it does absolutely nothin like hitting a BMP3 LFP the big ass flat one and getting a non pen
BMP-3 LFP is spaced armor and due to HESH fuse being instant (instead of slightly delayed) it will generate the fragmentation/scab on the external armor and then that will be eaten by the actual armor.
HESH should have a decent kinetic penetration of at least 30mm+ for low caliber rounds (76mm) but Gaijin is hard headed as usual
It’s the BMP3 being hit LFP with a 120MM hesh would blow it apart, it would pancake as well as flatten said spaced armour. Hell the explosive mass alone would overpressure it.
Hesh needs reworked, yet again
This monstrosity finally got moved up in BR.
Poor T58. It deserved so much better.
yea. moving to 9.0 where it belongs
I had doubts in a previous post so went and bought the T58. Already had the Turm. T58 is a busted shit stomper if there ever was one. 6 round autoloader with heat that has that level of penetration…its too easy.
Turm is a glass cannon and even random 20mm can kill it…T58 however, jesus its the final boss of 8.3. Only issue I have seen is it gets hit and nearly every time gunner or autoloader breaks but considering how fast you can fire…nah its busted. Shot up 6 tanks for 6 kills in less than 20 seconds yesterday.
It need to be moved up to 9.3 at a minimum. Turm I think is ok just due to how easy it is to kill.
Also side note…the damn Maus need to be moved up also to beyond 9. 128mm and 88mm with armor a dart from a 105mm with over 300mm of pen breaks or bounces. It way to heavily armored for most tanks to take head on and even on the sides.
so now the T58 goes up.
turm 3 stays at 8.3… yay…
sorry bro your m47 must suffer a bit more
Want to play a late 1940s tank?
Screw you, fight a 1960s prototype with a main gun that was relevant until the 2000s, and has a coaxial machine gun thats identical to the gun on one of the most toxic SPAAs in the game. EVERY SINGLE MATCH
and dont worry, you can easily pen the armour, too bad its 90% empty space so nothing will be disabled
very conveniently missing detailed internal modules)))
7.7 to 8.7 are currently still compressed as f, half the things didn’t even have stab vs fully stab, not to mention some still using ww2 ap on top of not having stabilizer vs fully stabilized DM23 lol British also one of the biggest offenders to have a olifant at 8.3, fully stabilized, dm23 with lrf against things like t32 and is-3 lol
was suggested to go higher but was ignored by the devs
just like 99% of feedback
its crazy that it was added without the 3 plane stabilisation.
instead they gave it a rather unfitting turret ring when it just had some bearings around the place. really any hit to the turret bowl should probably disable the elevation and horizontal as it would warp and dislodge it.
gaijin classic
add vehicle
dont give it its signature feature/weaponry
completely ignore any feedback regarding it
mig29 hint hint
compression is hell.
this is quite stupid yes
must agree the olifant is a bit odd being only 8.3. but at the same time it has no business being the same BR as a mk5 chieftain (if they had made it right at least)
however turm 3 being a mix of leopard 1a2 and falcon at makes the olifant look like it should be 7.3
Only issue is it’s slow as f, just like chieftains, wouldn’t be able to tell which one is better as they are just really close in terms of overall performance, I could argue that Olifant might be a tiny bit better than both the chieftains at 8.7 except for hull down turret protection, but the mk3 and mk5 unlike the mk10, doesn’t have enough turret protection against most darts in this br. Note that at 8.3 we also have some POS like T95E1 and M48GA2 lol
the mk5 chieftain has 10hp more at the same weight so are basically the same. mk3 is lightyears behind in performance.
however similar to centurions they are steady no matter the terrain. im much happier doing 25mph everywhere than being screwed over by bumpy land in a fast tank that cant deal with it.
yea the chieftain turret is ok but far from unkillable. the mk10 can still be roof scraped by 9.0 tanks btw, stillbrew didnt make it invincible despite what some people argue.
if below wasnt so compressed those tanks (and mk3 chieftain) really should be lower than its current BR peers
The Olifant is flat out just a Mk3 Centurion with a 105 slapped in it, and a LRF. it should be 8.0 at most.
