correct, it would be absolutely terrible at 9.0, it would get ripped apart by darts.

T58 is the embodiement of the compression issue
That being said it could go up even if no decompression is done. Being non stabilized isn’t enough to warrant a low br imo.
The lower section of the turret can still resist some darts

The Pz IV F2 is a medium.
The T-34 is a medium.
One has great armor, great mobility and fast turret traverse, the other has the mobility of a heavy tank and the armor penetration of a TD.
A heavy tank isn’t defined by having armor that makes it nearly invulnerable, it’s a combination of better armor than medium tanks and medium tank or stronger firepower.
The KV-85 has unmatched firepower at 4.7, the Churchill Mk VII unmatched levels of armor.
They are both heavies but you make can’t the argument that the KV-85 needs to have a BR where it’s armor becomes as effective as the Churchills.
It’s a trade-off.
The T58 beats out every 8.3-9.0 in terms of raw firepower due to that insane 2.6s reload with a 155mm cannon that one shots others 50% of the time and 99% kills in two, where others only fired once.
So the T58 needs to become vulnerable to the tanks it fights to off-set its extreme advantage.
It’s the same with the Turms III.
The combination of mobility, firepower and the ability to disable or destroy vehicles just with its secondary gun are unmatched at 8.3 prior to the T58 introduction.
It’s just another overpowered premium at 8.3.

They were. Practically unstoppable.
Same deal with the KV-220.
But hardly any Event vehicle doesn’t overperform at the BR it’s introduced.
- Shir 2s and T-64Bs aren’t all that common.
- You can pen, out load, and kill them easily.
- It cannot be 8.7, because it will continue to bully 7.7s, 8.0 still suffers if it’s 9.0, and in its current 8.3 capability, 7.3s are getting clobbered.
If it had a 5.0 sec reload, then it would be okay for 8.7, but it won’t get that, due to the people whining for USA accurate reloads, which is a double standard. Other nations lack their true reload speeds, but certain good already nations still get the buffs?

So then, whats the point in a heavy tank if you can kill it easily with a medium tank??? Thats why we have tank destroyers aka atgms?
The tanks must be bonked.
The point is that this particular heavy tank is more effective in killing all vehicles.
BRs are simply a system or how effective a vehicle is.
An M18 is 6.0, even though it can be easily killed by reserve tanks but the M18 is miles better at killing 6.0 BR vehicles.
The Churchill Mk I and VII have amazing armor for their BRs but have very weak guns.
They can kill some vehicles easily, struggle against some and are easily killed by some.
You can’t have it all, ok?
How is that balanced when the T58 not only has amazing armor but also firepower much greater than all other vehicles?
So it needs to have a BR where the armor hardly matters.
There’s also the point about survivability of a tank.
A T Series tank dies 70% of the time when penetrated, while a vehicle like the T58 is much more likely to survive penetrations.
And the RoF of the T58 makes it so that it’s very easy to destroy a vehicle with a second shot, if necessary.

Oh dude I got shot by a T-55Am-1 an Leo 1a1, some French tank, and another vehicle, they all kept shooting but the T58 was magically making their rounds non pen, even in the side. Even though I had been hit 3 times already and disabled, I got hit another 8-9 times before being killed.
The guy in the T-55 was no novice, and has 12 kills, he was freaking out in chat because the T58 is made of Washtinium

I remember one the first time i used it, i got shot like 30 times (no lie) even a heli with its ATGMS top hit me and i kept going, it was only after i reveresed and they hit my bottom hull did I die.
T58 is flat out L23 proof, the Strongest APFSDS in its BR bracket.
You have to aim for WEAK SPOTS, in the Chieftain Mk10.
Pretty much the only time I die in the T58 is when ammo is struck, but I only bring 18 shells, so it’s not all that often it’s hit
Your cheftian tank is even stronger (turret) so it evens out.
Anyway, all you have to do is to aim at the middle of the turret.
