Is the Su-57 really worse than the F-22?

What?!

PAC-2 and PAC-3 from the 1980s? Ukraine was supplied with modern Patriot systems, if I’m not mistaken, whereas the old Soviet systems were from the 1980s and had not been modernized since.

The whole point is that if you know the operating parameters of an enemy air-defense system inside out, it shouldn’t be difficult to suppress it with your own ECM, such as the Khibiny (which, I remind you, supposedly disables all the radio equipment of an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer with a single activation).

reality is often different to the squawking of roosters

But it really was funny when the Russians showed a news segment about it on a national TV channel.

PAC-2 is from 80/90.

Well how can you know that RuAF have given any task similar to USA and Israel attack on Iran nuclear facilities ?

There are several variants that have PAC-2 in their designation.

Well, everyone has seen the downed Su-34s carrying dumb FAB-500 bombs, so they were obviously being assigned some tasks. But I can’t even imagine how those tasks were formulated lol.

I think that happend on frontlines Su-34s has seen used against infantry trenches or fortifications using simple bombs which was mocked by pro-Russian sources.

is this before or after the pilot is microwaved by the AN/SPY radar?

Hey, I found some pretty good videos that break down the two aircraft in question. The videos go into the history of the plane but also talk all about the capabilities and stuff. Megaprojects generally has some great videos so take a look:

F-22 Video

Su-57 video

My personal take on the F-22 vs. Su-57 debate is that they are planes from two different eras and built around different doctrines. This can make them a little hard to compare. F-22 is gonna be better at BVR while the two would probably be pretty much matched in a true dogfight. At the end of the day though, given the choice for an irl dogfight, I would choose F-22 every time.

megaprojects make entertaining videos, but his quality of research is very hit or miss.

maybe after the su34 dropped the bomb on the street they stopped trusting them lmao

Yeah, doing a little more research of the subject in between studying. Might put out some more/better stuff.

so hard to find good stuff on the subject. Everything compares raw specs or else it’s bias/flashy/or just poor quality…

its pointless to compare this stuff, the f22 is extremely capable but also 20 years old and extremely classified to this day a aircraft which has never really had a chance to do any real combat either, and the su57 is a airshow pony with extremely low production numbers and despite the fact it should be extremely useful(if we take russian claims on its capabilities as real) it has not seen any real conflict.

its really a pointless discussion.

we can say that some of them, might be the prototype or production, has been out for combat, as we know, multiple kh69 stealth cruise missile has spotted and proved they were using it with the debri left. now there no other plane other that the su57 that use the kh69, we have no proof of it being carried in the su34 or flanker

This radar broke immediately.

Spoiler

oh yes, that is totally how jamming systems work

These are very powerful jamming systems. Just incredibly powerful.

I love how you’re conveniently ignoring the fact that it also adds multiple tonnes to the aircraft.

That’s also true but my original point still stands
