no because they wouldnt be hidden if you can see them
There is no real confirmation about the weapons, but we can know that is at least 4 or max 6 in weapons bay and not 8.

This is a simple render that use the actual missile size
But also you can just check the expo weapons display and you will see
well that means no
well i guess the Su-57 will come without internally mounted ARH missiles then since the only picture of anything mounted in the main bays is one where it carries A2G missiles

you know we are atlking about a secret plane that rarely see it fly, dont you think that the whole forum is based maybe it that way until we see confirmation
but hey you can say no but dont waste your time and 5th forum as you will get nothing than some badly argument
If you want to keep repeating propaganda and fake news you can do it elsewhere
I remember reading the SU-57’s engines increase the radar signature, while the F-22 engines are hidden so lower radar signature.

Yes I know su57 has an upgrade for the engine, but its not a standar for all su57s in compare with the f22
so please explain how the engines nozzles will increase rada signiture in a front aspect bvr situation
Ground radars comes from under the plane, if you talk plane vs plane frontally then yeah it shouldnt matter
even then the engines dont matter as they see the flat underside of both planes the f-22 and su-57
The Western Museum of Flight recently posted a very interesting video on the F-35 program, but which touches on some of the stealth related topics that have been discussed on this thread. I think it’s always nice to have someone that worked or tested those planes to “confirm” what has been discussed on this thread.
Time stamps:
Helicopter faceted canopies vs light & F-117 RCS generic spikes
They arent that blocky, sure they can form a bit of diffractions but the quality is still better than a lot of sims out there
just to add to that, su-57 cant carry R-77 or R-77-1 internally, only R-77M
And it can theoretically carry 6 R-77M internally as shown by the patent pics by ron later
but the problems is the triple rack adapter isnt bought by the russian airforce, hence atleast the initial serial in game wont have them, will only be limited to 4 r-77m internally
yes they will from the rear, but given a decent portion of the engine is exposed already, stealth wont be that good those angles for any jet
However this will matter from front aspect, as the nozzle is circular, creeping waves mostly from lower bands can be reflected back frontally, hence flat nozzles are being put, whose faceted design will disperse the wave away from the radar
We`ll see if its better as soon as they’ll enter combat at some point. Till that its all just speculations. Same as were with Leopard 2s and Abramses were “best undestructable tanks” until entered minimal serious combat. And same as U-2 planes were unreachable until came closer to real modern anti-air.
Last time US modern jets had a beef with USSR modern jets was the Nam i suppose, and ait showed how well “cheap and less technological” USSR jets performed compared to the american.
In Vietnam they didn’t perform particularly well, and if we talk about large-scale use of aviation by both sides, then that would be the Arab–Israeli conflict of 1982.
That depends on what we decide “well” is. Vietnam`s battle losses of MiG-21s were smaller than losses of Phantoms.
tho it sure is unfair comparisson, as IAF had much more modern aviation and lebanon had no modern munitions. And we`re about modern with both sides.
The losses of the Phantoms were due to the fact that they were performing the role typical for aviation, unlike the MiGs. And most Phantom losses were not caused by MiGs.
This is not true. The Syrian aircraft in that conflict were from the same era as the Israeli ones, and sometimes even more modern.
I take it this means that the Su-57’s IRST is an excellent radar-wave reflector in any direction.
And MiGs? They were mostly used as Intercepters, that is clearly what F-22s were used for in that F-14 training. Also a very basic role of a fighter jet.
May you provide some more information about it? As i know, most of the Syrian aviation were MiG-21s that lacked even a R3 anti-air muniitons, and some of the more modern aviation were MiG-23s in attacker modifications.
The primary task of aviation is to provide support to ground forces.
The Syrians had MiG-23MS and MF in service, and the MiG-21 variants were also from the 1970s.
For a multirole fighter or an attacker, yes. At that moment, USSR still made separate attacker and fighter jets tho.
And still best i could myself find was several photos of them MiG-23 armed with S-8K and bombs, and read about them utilizing some R-3S rockets for several frags. And no info about them MiG-21s at all :(
Still, if they had at least some munitions of the modern era, i`d agree that it also is a good example
