Is the Su-57 really worse than the F-22?

Radar N135 “Irbis”

Oh boy, text on a screen! My turn!

You obviously can’t read

I’ll read when there’s something of substance to read… Not an uncited screenshot of what could be no more than the delusions of an indian blogpost.

The Sh-135 system exists, the N135 does not.

Sh-135 This is an integral part of N135

Uh huh.

Kind of getting off topic here, let’s get back to su57

What are your guys thoughts on su57 L band aesa radar?

Well, a well maintained F-22 should have a significantly lower radar signature than the Su-57, but there are newer Su-57 versions with a reduced radar signature than the original version. In terms of Radar and electronics well only experts can truly determine which ones are more effective, historically speaking US has had the advantage there.

But Izdelie 30 engines definitely bridge the gap in flight performance and super cruise. In terms of ordinance well both sides have potent long range missiles. It will depend on outside factors such as ground radars, satellites, AWACS and on board datalinks to determine who wins the engagement.

US has the advantage in terms of where it can deploy its equipment (most of europe) that is the single biggest advantage that the F-22 has, take that away and you have a different game on your hands.

Well according to the Key.AERO website it is desginated as the radiolocation system. " The Su-35 is one of the most advanced jets in Russian service – primarily due to its sensors and weapons. Its Sh135 Irbis (Snow Leopard; for export Irbis-E) radiolocation system comprises the N135 radar and Khibiny-M ECM suite. The N135 is an evolution of the Su-30MKI/SM’s N011M Bars radar and employs a passive electronically scanned array (PESA) with two SOLO-35.01 (initial signal processing) and SOLO-35.02 (data processing and radar control) computers. The Type 4283MP IFF (identification, friend or foe) interrogator is integrated within the Sh135. Compared with the Bars, the Irbis advantages include a wider range of operational frequencies, greater angular search zone of up to +/-125º due to its improved antenna and double-step drive, increased range and improved jamming resistance. The Sh135 is capable of tracking-while-scanning up to 30 targets in the air – eight of which can be quasi-continually tracked with accuracy sufficient for simultaneous engagement by beyond-visual range (BVR) active-radar R-77 air-to-air missiles (AAMs) – NATO codename, AA-12 Adder. Two targets can be engaged at the same time with semi-active radar-guided R-27R/ER missiles (AA-10 Alamo-A/-C respectively) as long as they are illuminated." Here is the website Sukhoi Su-35 The Ultimate Flanker.

Now I am not sure how accurate this is but it has useful info about its radiolocation system Sh-135 and N135 radar. Is this info correct or speculation on behalf of AERO website?

Another website called military periscope states that the Irbis-E radar uses the N 135 designation. Overview — N135 Irbis — Airborne Radars — Military Electronics — Weapons — Military Periscope

Which one has reduced RCS, I never seen any of SU-57 that is visually different from each other. Mythic plane .

Comparing 30 year old F-22 design and tech with most modern tech Russian can produce? Really?
We should compare it to F-47 as it in the same time period and probably production state. And we know nothing about both.

In the other hand SU-57 would lit up like a school bus on the radar of any jet past 2000s, is not new or anything special. It’s good for airshows to make fun maneuvers, nothing else.

Don’t forget about other stuff that is flying with those planes. One F-35 would be enough to smoke SU-57 alone. + AWACS + other aircrafts that would search for it from other aspects as well

source? trust me bro

production? lmao… we havent even seen a single prototype of it yet…

To add to this post:

also the latest batches have a much much improved surface finish compared to the infamous image with the fastners often presented as a serial production sample when it’s one of the early prototypes

Easy. One is in medal and another… so far we only saw drawings. I can also get a drawing of “6th gen plane” for, about, 100-200 dollars, depending on the artist and how much I want to annoy them with specifics

This is my kingdom come…

Dude as you can see below (pictures provided) there is a difference between production Su-57 and test version T-50 with the exposed rivets and bolts. Not to mention there are several SU-57M version planes with Izdeley-30 engines further improving the performance of the plane.

F-35 will not smoke Su-57 with reduced radar signature (not saying it cant shoot su-57 down) , however Su-57 is a twin engine aircraft with better thrust to weight ration, is capable of carrying more missiles and is significantly more maneuverable than F-35. The best fighter jet in US arsenal at the moment is by far the F-22.
