Is the Su-57 really worse than the F-22?

I left out prototypes as that would be directly unfair as there wouldve been both the yf23 and yf22. But youre right it proves my point even more

Afaik stealth measurements for the ATF program were done on computers then on full scale models on poles, the YF22/23 were not tested for RCS and didn’t have RAM nor edge treatment. I’ll find the source for this later.

Obs.: I found a very interesting PDF that I’ll attach to my original post. This is one is golden.

You’re pull thing out your rear? Even with Al-41 engines it have better TTW than F-22 at least that its when both are empty. Even if the Su-57(T-50) its bigger it weight less than F-22 around 1 to 1.5 tons less. The difference in TTW is not much but still in favor of the Su-57. I don’t know how much the Production version of The Su-57 weight. Because a lot of systems has been miniaturized. Example the IMA-BK computer and thx to this it change from Fly by wire(cooper) to Fly-by-optic/Fly-by-light… So saving even more weight. Don’t even talk about the TTW with Al-51 engines.

So the only one here with a lot of copium its you. You can argue that Russia its behind on Missile tech. But the Su-57 has being spotted with K77me.

Su-57 much slower in supercruise though

Notice how i Said empty?. The Su-57 can carry a lot of fuel. But more important it the engine. Al41 has low dry thrust compare to the engine of the F-22 make sense it has also slower Super cruise. I don’t know if the figure of 1.3 super cruise of the Su-57 its with Al41 or Al51. I imagine its with Al-41 so with Al-51 it will have better super cruise speed. MIG23 now this engine stuff better.

Lastly even with it 1.3 SC speed. Su-57 boost a better range than the F-22. So was its this Copium about Super cruise?

If it’s loaded up with that much fuel, it’ll probably barely be able to supercruise in the first place.

And it’s probably the 51 engines since they’d want to give the best numbers

This figure of 1.3 is just made up anyway. Super cruise M number for any engine for Su-57 never was public.

Where was that air intake image taken from? Ace combat?

There’s a better image out there, but it’s literally a radar scatter screen like the F-117 had

Edit: Found the pic

I don’t think its the case. MIG23 in the Su-27 discussion said that the Su-35s can super cruise with AL-41. It don’t make sense that the Su-57 couldn’t SC with Al-41.

Hmm, the Eurofighter kicked the F-22´s ass in a dogfight…

Forgetting about IRST? Even then, they are similar in abilities.

The Su-57 is not stealthy. Its famous rcs is like that of the Su-27. And don’t forget that the F-22 appeared about 25 years ago.

In close combat?

It can, but it’s the AL-41F-1S, and your not accounting for it being heavier possibly?

You know what else happened about 27 years ago? The MiG 1.44/42. Only cancelled production because each unit cost was too high as it was completed after the fall of the Soviet Union.

This is why the Su-57 is not stealth. there are too many cracks and holes from which the signal will be reflected again.

Considering it’s a dogfight, I’d say yes.

Wow, you gonna reflect virtually no waves from a 1/4 inch gap between the fuselage and intake 😒

Not like the F-35 has those on its surface.
