Is the Su-57 really worse than the F-22?

TSMC makes more cutting edge chips in the US now than Taiwan, and intel while behind also still has cutting edge nodes

96nm trash is not good enough

I don’t remember anyone knowing about the chip in the Su-57 computer, and what does the process and performance per clock have to do with it?

There’s a lot of cope in this thread, but the sources don’t lie. The west has fallen behind and the future of war thunder belongs to russia. Grind now before it is too late.

Speed at which data can be processed is vital, such old chips are too slow to handle a modern 5th generation battle environment
we have not even began to talk about how far behind on headset mounted displays the Su-57 is, still using rudimentary monocle sights while the F-35 has 360 degree augmented reality vision for visibility through the cockpit

I don’t see a valid comparison. Just your stupid rant based on your dreams. I never saw where the monocle is

US must increase their defence budget to 57 trillion. NOW.

there is no helmet mounted display for the Su-57, only a small monocle sight that is inferior in capability to the F-35s high tech helmet

Not Igla, but Stugna. It’s a fairly primitive ATGM.

No there’s plenty of Igla ones too, though the Ka-52 fleet in particular have been massacred by Stugna-P.

so you’ve only seen pictures of the helmet and you’ve already seen the worst of it. Without even knowing its capabilities

the capability is obvious from the images, only a small simple sight is visible, it clearly lacks the 360 degree augmented reality visibility of the F-35

Why didn’t you bring that helmet?

because that helmet is not in service or serial production
it’s also still far behind the significantly more advanced F-35 helmet with its augmented reality features offering unparalleled situational awareness to the pilot

It’s a marvel on the modern battlefield, completely unparalleled
Russian prototypes are only now catching up to the JHMCS from the 2000s, let alone the F-35s technology

Not all helicopters have these systems. They are definitely installed on the Ka-52 by default, I have seen enough videos where they are fired at more than once and they escape from the attack.
Naturally, you won’t be able to dodge forever, and with active use, the “birds” will fall.

Almost every “cutting edge” chip in USA is from Taiwan. The United States is capable of producing chips smaller than 10 nanometers, but their production is too small to cover any needs.
If I’m not mistaken, the current production basis is 32nm. This is a big difference between what we can do, but it has virtually no effect on completing combat missions, you don’t need to play a The Witcher on these chips.

Good enough for the millitary tasks , at least we can verify this in a real situation.
Again, as an example, we have the ancient radar from the MiG-31, “Zaslon” was developed using 80s technology, it is a huge radar weighing a ton, but at the same time it is one of the most powerful in the world, and surpasses many Western AESA.

TSMC production in US has overtaken their Taiwan facilities, your news is old

this is the ravings of a delusional lunatic madman

I agree. Flight crew manning is slower than aircraft production, after all

every F-35 pilot has the most advanced helmet in the world, if there is one thing the Su-57 is inarguably behind on, it is this

So they don’t have the “very high efficiency” you were claiming then? Thank you for clarifying, because a “very high efficency” DIRCM should be able to stop an Igla 99.99% of the time, yet they don’t. And trust me, theres not enough Iglas in the world to explain the high rate of loses through these extremely unlikely system failures akin to a “very high efficency” APS.

The other question is, does this helmet really need it?

one of the most import parts is serving information to the pilot, this is a concept the F-35 is essentially built around, and is very important, if a pilot does not receive the information his plane does then the plane may as well not have received this at all, nothing conveys information better than a display directly inside the helmet
