Is the Su-57 really worse than the F-22?

most well kept and production f-22 airframes have bolt covers that hide even the bolts engravings.
i took exposed to mean an airframe that lacks the bolt covers

The issue is you showed them without context, which could lead to people making wild claims and citing you.

but you yourself said it saw combat?

I didn’t make that claim. You did.

Hiding in your airspace to avoid being shot down is not combat.

But you said you couldn’t talk about it at all?

You said that yourself.

i expect people to have the decency to read all the conversation
also to have common sense to know that not all airframes are alike

yes, the russians have claimed combat for the 57 in syria and ukraine

in that sense, BVR is not combat either?

if i shoot at a mirage over the border and he shoots back at me from his side of the border…
thats not combat?

combat

/ˈkɒmbat/

noun

  1. fighting between armed forces.

my mistake then

You’d be surprised.

eh, we both know how people can be.

and yeah i dont disagree with your concern. just being an ass ig

The Russian Media lies constantly, you and I both know, or should know, that. Without proof, I won’t believe it.

That’s being disingenuous. There’s no comparison between what the Su-57’s are doing and BVR.

That’s not what’s happening lol

i know. i also know americans lie too.

in fact… all governments lie, as do most if not all people on earth

is there a limit to BVR?
last i checked if you can see your enemy its not BVR but aside from that, it is

ukraine has S-300 and S-400 batteries and now they even have patriots.

the 57s have not and will never have uncontested airspace control. which means threat of SAM attack
meaning combat.

but this is just semantics

to sum it all up

Su-57:

  • Mediocre stealth at best
  • Good weaponry
  • Impressive slowscan and fastscan radar
  • Impressive manoeuvrability
  • IRST

F-22:

  • Best stealth up till date
  • Decent weaponry
  • Decent radar
  • Impressive manoeuvrability

All good lol, keep it in mind next time tho

All unsubstantiated and unproven, btw. Should be adding asterisks to those assessments.

R-37M is pretty good, so is R-77M
57 has different band radars to pick up low observable aircraft
locking may be impossible i admit, but thats why it has IRST
it also has TVC and that is proven

Most military publications assume that Su-57 is not really stealthy. Thats already it.

Otherwise they would use it in this ongoing war. But they didn’t. If it would be a real stealth jet, they could strike anywhere they want. Similar like Israel does it in the middle east with its stealth squadrons.

Above picture shows nothing but a gutted frame, while the below photos don’t show the fan stage at all… Because believe it or not, a shitty render of T-50-03 does not show the inlet radar absorbers, as it didn’t exist 9 years ago.

He claims you can see the engine itself from the intake. You simply can’t. Your photos even show this.

Those absolutely are bolts, specifically called aerospace grade screws because of the way they thread into the skin of the craft.

If you want a comparison, it’s already been done.

Spoiler

Do you mean F-35? I wasn’t aware of Israel owning any F-22.

Yes, indeed.

Those aren’t, the graphic was made during a time when the intake blockers did not exist. That’s simply showing one of the regulated ramps and its possibilities.

ah my bad
