We all used to say that the 109K4 was the worst when stock and I’d certainly have agreed with that. Compared to when it’s “aced” it’s slow, cumbersome and with an incredibly difficult to use armament with that 30mm in the nose shooting stock belts.
But ladies, gentlemen and camel today that statement is so very wrong.
I’m almost impressed with the level of disgust and hatred this aircraft has on its new pilots, usually most stock aircraft can do at least something to stay alive… but not this thing. It’s an aircraft that went to kamikaze school but didn’t stay on for long enough to get to the bit where you also blow up the other person.
The engine is the main issue (at least with AEC), it has very little power and loves nothing more than to blow itself up whenever it can. I’ve seen cars rev slower than the temperature gauge needle when it starts to rise and climbing at 100% will melt the engine before you get to the battle… as will 90%… 80% is more or less fine but at that rate Lizzo climbs faster.
This means that if at any point (not just climbing) you ever feel like you need a burst of power you actually murder yourself. If you get one “engine overheated” message simply put you’ll never recover unless you then limit power to 60%. The best way to kill a Sakeen is to allow it to take off.
So basically the Sakeen has no power, so the Sakeen cannot turn, it can barely dive and what it does outdive it’ll still lose out to because eventually you’ll need to switch the engine on which is a catastrophic mistake with this aircraft. As mentioned earlier climbing is also out of the question.
The only way to survive with this thing is to get into a rolling scissor (where you can have the engine at idle at times) and try to snap roll your way to victory, haha just kidding but it’ll make you look slightly threatening before you’re shot down.
Gaijin really went nuts on the poor players that wanted to start as Israel. I know I’m an arsehole, and I quite like hummus, but I don’t deserve to be punished this much.
