Is the m1 KVT good and worth it?

Man, when you try to grind a tree quickly in WT, I am not focussed on stats. I was focused on getting the most RP points I could quickly. That was the OP’s question, right? Besides, I told you Ive been playing for 4 months. But I am doing a lot better now. And I am getting better every day. How long have you been playing?

Totally agree Man! Good on you.

I wouldn’t say all of them suck when it comes to Armor. The Jumbo and E5 are nearly invulnerable to most threats frontally when played properly.

But keep in mind, you will only grind as well as you play. For me, I bought the KVT a few days ago, but I’ve already grinded top tier in three other nations, so I know how to play at that BR. This person does not and will die constantly and will likely not learn for hundreds of hours if he does this.

A little bit??? A LITTLE bit dude you have 319 deaths with only 28 kills. You have 345 deatsh in an M1A1 AIM and only 31 kills.

Chill dude, at least the money he pays allows you to play the game for free.

Don’t hate the consumers who purchase it, hate the developer for enabling this to occur in the first place.

Most people don’t play the game for free, myself included. But the last thing I will ever do is support the notion that players should spend $1000 on premiums they dont really need to play and have fun at the game, something this poor sap did.

This is an example of more money than sense and most normal people arent going to enjoy spending $1000 to suck at something that a bot would do better at.

The average player and average spender is going to want resonable advise. My reasonable advice is the wolfpack is a better vehicle than the KVT but given the amount of hate and frustrating that is occuring because of these vehicles we should encourage players such as this not to contribute to a toxic problem and instead be a part of the solution. Why set someone up for this?

OP just asked if the tank was decent enough to buy, and when you factor in the time it would take to grind out it’s TT equal, it probably justifies the cost. He might as well spend 1K and get fun out the game, that’s his prerogative.

Your bias, understandably, comes with being lumped with players who don’t know how to play and you suffer as a result.

That was all you really needed to say. Your gripes should be directed to Gaijin, not some new player.

Where is this coming from? I don’t have a bias other than the constant complaining on the forums and my own experience in high tier, due to the lack of competitiveness from ODL’s who bought a premium, dont know how to play and essentially handicap 14 other people on their team. That’s just a fact jack.

My understanding of the game far exceeds your current capabilities within it. Sorry.

That new player won’t stick around anyway, because eventually they either can’t buy more fun, or the cost wasnt worth it…

You’re meaning to tell me you don’t have matches where you find yourself the last man standing or in general just losing because your team fell apart in no small part due to one/two premium tank lineups and in general poor players who bought their way to the top?

That’s exactly what I was implying and given your previous comment, that’s why you may be biased towards players buying top tier premiums. Not sure why you felt the need to get defensive and attempt to insult me over that.

And that’s his money, his problem. Still doesn’t warrant the undeserved abuse because they are using a gameplay path that Gaijin themselves designed.

This isnt a bias. Joining a team with 10 TURMS that all die and quit within the first minute with no backup is just what it is.

To your point above, does it not become our problem when it’s 5 on 15 because he cant play or have backups? So my experience needs to suffer because they dont know what to do?

Not the intent

Given your previous responses, it’s that exact situation that led to your distaste. It’s not bad to think that, as ultimately you are pointing out bad game design. I am just saying this dude isn’t the one to bear the blame or judgement.

Gaijin’s infinite wisdom, still not OP’s fault.

He wants to buy a nice shiny vehicle with his Christmas money, let him buy the best one on offer. A separate thread would be needed/used to highlight Gaijin’s poor progression system driving people to purchase these vehicles.

Already too many of those.

Everyone is free to do what they want. For me, it’s important that everyone can still say what they think about it. Regardless of whether someone else likes it.
If it bothers someone in any way, it helps to ask yourself why. In the end, it’s up to you to decide what you want to do.

the KVT is a great tank… if you already know what you are doing.

if you don’t have experience at the BR already, I think it’ll suck for you. I mean, it’ll suck for you regardless of what vehicle you buy but I think the KVT will suck more than similar options from other nations.

the penetration on M774 is quite low, which isn’t a problem if you know where to aim, but if you don’t already know how to identify enemy tanks and where to shoot them, or where to position yourself to mitigate that issue, you will spend all your days just hopelessly bouncing off everything and it’ll be an endless wave of frustration.

honestly USA is probably the worst main nation currently for a new player with no experience to buy their way into top tier.

I hate to say it but the click bait is probably a better option for a new player purely because of its high pen round, Or go a bit lower and get the XM-1 at 9.3 which I think will offer you a better experience than either the KVT or click bait

The M1 KVT is the best value US premium.

The US 10.3 lineup is strong and offers a multitude of effective vehicles. The M1 KVT perfectly complements this lineup as in the tech tree there is no second 10.3 MBT.

By buying the KVT you give yourself a lineup that can consist of 2 MBTs / IFV / SPAA / CAS which is what War Thunder’s gameplay is balanced around.

Not directly.
It depends on the caliber of the actual projectile and its mass.

Just go for the clickbait its better in the long run.
With the buffs to the 120mm Abrams, og M1 just lost its biggest advantage.

M774 is on the lower end of the 10.3 rounds with low pen and bad spall

Protection is bad 3BM42 and DM23/33 will go through you, even worse that 2S38 will just delete you

Loud engine making sure to alert everybody that you are comming

So you trade protection and firepower for mobility and gun handling, with current map changes those are useless since most of your engagements will be head on

Well you seem like a nice guy. I never once quit a match because I died once. Take your crap somewhere else.

Good on you. The OP was asking about a tank to grind with. He wasn’t looking for some jerkoff to spew his machoness on new players. I wonder why his profile is hidden?

Very well put.
