Ever sincethe major update spotting in arb seems to be awful. I have people that are less than 5km in distance and right infront of me not have their names show up. Or someone that am literaly dogfighting.
Spotting at top tier has always been iffy as hell, literally had a Typhoon show up 1.5 miles to my left in one of my most recent matches.

Is there a good write up on how this is suppose to work and what affects it like weather, aspect, crew lvl etc? Always wondered.
Far from what I know only Awareness affected the distance of detecting of an aircraft or missile for example (when the marker shows up). If this is the problem described may be a bug or just poor knowledge of game’s mechanic which I’ll bet on the second option, War Thunder had no changes recently on vehicle detection.
Doesn’t seem any worse than usual.
Literally happened with me eft only got marked when he was 2km away
Idk i have 75 expert crew but i spot with my eyes first rather than marker coming on the planes
I had some issues too recently, I was playing a match where my pilot detected a Tu-2 at about 10.00 Km, then it disappears and popped again in the screen at 4.00 Km, it may be a bug but I’m not sure.
