I’m only recently playing these, and it’s just like, why on Earth would you play anything else on any remotely urban map, and even on more open maps they absolutely shred and are much easier to do well with.
It feels really stupid to frontally kill an MBT from considerable distance.
yeah putting the new SAM systems that have ranges that cover entire air rb maps against 11.0 subsonic attackers and even 11.3/.7 attackers that rely on laser guided weapons is insane
It’s almost as if the community asked for this by not allowing even a test on nerfing APHE…
The sole reason the 35mm guns are questionable is due to APHE’s sphere of death mechanics in general allowing stupidity of things like cupola shots to work.
I seriously think the solution here is to intentionally buff them further, with threat of more until people stop complaining and just embrace tankbusting AA once and for all.

T61 is using crews report of aircraft alt and direction. If you like report to your like team attack the D point, then you will know where it is

The 35mm type SPAAs are too good currently due to APHE on their guns being fully automatic nuke launchers and some of them like xm246 having better survivability than heavy tanks, but not really because of cas
They overperform against both ground and air.
For the clip with the Strela you were simply not looking around, also go into settings and increase enemy engine sound, helps pick up planes if you dont have a radar.
For the clip with the Osa you were focused on a target that is at your max range and is heavily maneuvering, you should have not bothered as soon as he started to dive and looked at you radar to see the other Su-25 that was closer to you and ended up killing you. Remember the 11.3 su-25’s tv guided missiles can only lock a moving target at 6km so if you see a launch further than that immediately reposition (also goes for the agm65b), while their laser and beam riding weapons require them to limit their maneuvering. Also try to only shoot when they get closer and not once they enter max range, you give them less time to react and the missile loses a lot of maneuverability when it is losing speed through the air so long range shots are easier to dodge.
And at the end of the day you are using 10.3 spaa against 11.3 cas, it’s going to be more difficult, if you were using a 2s6 it would have been easier. And also a good cas player is going to kill you a lot, thats the point, like a good mbt player on a flank can wipe half a team or a good cap player can ambush cas and spawn camp helos and rack up easy kills.

Idk about him but that is a popular sentiment in the community that sadly is getting us the new absurd SAM systems that are going to completely ruin 11.0-12.0, cas especially non dircm helos. Gaijin should just have listened to the rational side of the community and removed the KH38 (at least the MT) and added some SAM systems that actually fit the scale of the game like the CLAWS and Tan-SAM, and then later once we have 13.0, 14.0 + they can re add the kh38 and start adding long range SAM systems alongside much bigger maps.
But nope everything needs to be hamfisted into this game that is still stuck with ww2 scale and aging game mechanics because muh shiny new toys that bring in money…
All 35mm trpe SPAA should be over 8.7, radar SPAA against those early Cold War jets is pretty unfair. IDK how to use like F9F or R2Y2 against Geopard or XM246, even F86 or MIG15 are also pretty hard to against, especially SP cost increased for next update
