To answer the question. If someone else finishes off the severely damaged aircraft, you will receive 0 credit for that on your statcard. The same thing also counts if you destroy a plane that has severe damage. It’s an annoying bug because what would’ve counted as a kill under the old system now has the potential to land you nothing on your statcard.
But I guess there aren’t a whole lot of stat-conscious bozos such as myself out there so for the general playerbase it doesn’t matter one bit.
There is also a mechanic where if you are severely damaged at the end of the match it will eject you from your aircraft and give the enemy the kill reward. This is also bugged as it does not count as a death on your service record.
This mechanic is busted too…figures…a gaijin product.Played with mig-15 and got 2 kills ,a saab and a F9f.The saab pilot bailed out after i took a wing off and set him on fire and i got ONLY part of the reward!!! No one else shot him. WHY???
This particular situation works fine.
In the “Destruction of aircraft” section you see 20% of the reward for “finishing” the enemy.
If you check the “Severe damage to the enemy” section, you will see the remaining 80% of the reward.
You might ask for a compensation of your efforts to explain stuff gaijin is unable or unwilling to explain by themselves.
And i mean this seriously - if you see the number of threads and the total number of posts it looks like that we talk about a new method for brain surgeries and not about a damage/kill functionality in a shooter game…
I did look on the severe dmg but was still mising some reward. Now i notice that youget some rewards on critical damage too.I don’t know but severe and critical isn’t the same thing?!?[
The “Critical hit” mechanic give’s you more SL and RP for good hit, while the kill gives you the rest of the money and points left over from the death of the aircraft. In other words, yes, you still get rewards, and if you pilot snipe, it’s an instant trigger to get all SL and RP rewards.
In simpler terms, you get the kill rewards before someone else swoops in to finish them.
