Is it reasonable to put SU30mk2 in BR 13.3?

Recent livestreams revealed that the new Russian premium aircraft, the Su-30MK2, will be placed at BR 13.3. Is this reasonable?

#1 well ,I just checked it out on the test server, and the airframe performs better than i expected. in my view, It really shouldn’t be at this rating. In fact, because it’s slightly slower, it handles even better than the standard Flankers. What’s more, this aircraft can easily reach Mach 1.2 or 1.3 at an altitude of four to five thousand meters.
Its presence makes the F-16 and MiG-29 at 13.3 quite awkward—perhaps even the JF-17 as well. It may not be as good as the Israeli F-16D, but as a premium vehicle, its numbers in battle certainly can’t be ignored.

If the J-11A has to sit at 13.7, it is not reasonable no…

J-11A got moved to 13.3 which is, imo, is long overdue. Having the baseline Su-27 radar and SPO-15 while facing Fox3 slingers is a crime

Yeah just noticed it in the dev server. I bet if it wasn’t for the su30mk2 premium addition the J-11A would remain at 13.7 collecting dust.

Just because of the RWR alone, the su30mk2 is better than the J-11A, even though it has a bit less flight performance.

If it has similar flight performance to the current 30SM I think 13.3 might be fair, maybe 13.7 at best.

I was expecting that the su30mk2 flight performance would justify it being 13.3, but to be honest it’s a bit too strong for 13.3.

Compared to the F-16D which might arguably be also too strong for 13.3 where it sits right now, the su30mk2 has a much better missile kit, better FM since it is faster than it and can outrate it on top of being able to do high AoA manouvers. Has MAWS tought that it’s not a big deal, only disadvantages are a worse radar, and worse unsustained energy retention. Countermeasures although less, are large calibre.

If I am on the fence of the F-16D being undertiered, the su-30sm2 most certantly is.

So that’s a pretty trashy radar paired with meh ARHs.
That thing can only be saved by it’s FM if you want it above 13.3.

The radar is subpar but you will do most of the work with HMD anyway, the R77 works great for that. R-77 aren’t meh, the only meh ARH are the aim-120 series

Wait is f-16d actually worse than the su-30mk2 in fm?
Remember su-30mk2 is 2 tons heavier than su-27s. I forgot how much heavier the f16d is compared to the base model but it’s certainly not 2 tons

Yeah but its been quite a while since the base su-27 can outrate an F-16C. They have good FMs now. Unsustained energy retention is subpar, and because of that, in a gun duel the F-16s will still eat you. But other than that, they are quite decent, flankers are also overperforming in top speed.

Yeah but that’s the base su-27s, not su-30mk2. Su-30mk2 is closer to su-33/30sm than to su-27s base model. Base model su-27s and su-27sm/j11b are much better than their heavier counterparts
