Well 1 death leaving yes it is a problem but if they were to punish people for it they probably would for those who do so when they are being spawn killed(aka me and 99% of teams I get within 5 minutes of a match). I refuse to stay in a match when our spawn is being camped by skill less people.
Sorry, majority of one death leavers are not being spawn camped. They typically leave perfectly good rounds, let their team down, and have to be carried by the rest of the team.
Can confirm. Its always me doing the carrying.
And those that don’t one death leave, are absolutely USELESS
I (well supported by @AurenKarach) got a nuke last night in a full uptier as Germany 7.0. And the enemy actually was playing well but it only takes a couple moments of good luck or bad fortune for a game to be taken out of your hands. I got shot by an ELC, required a 30 second repair, and he took his sweet time driving over to me - then when he took the shot at me he totally messed it up. Then there was an Su-9 who could have shot my Ju288 C down and even was around to take out my nuke plane, instead he ignores the 288 and then flies away from my nuke plane and crashes. The stars aligned alright.
And you know why youre getting spawn killed after 5 minutes?
You get steamrolled cause of the team leaving instantly without even trying
“BuT-BuT…It WoNt ChAnGe ThE OuTcOmE oF tHe GaMe iF i StAy”
it does actually…a lot too,ive found myself clutching the game last second with 3/4 team mates who refuse to give up
Considering how bad my teammates are in general(getting flanked by 1 tank and all dying to it) it won’t change a thing.
Gotta love it when they mess up and you have a second chance.
Nah.
Every time I stay it ends up being a waste of a tank. The team keeps ignoring the mode and enemy makes all the caps and our tickets drain away. Trying to go to the caps means I’m outnumbered every time.
The only way I can stay and earn points (not a win mind you - that ship already sailed) is to join them and CAMP.
No thanks. EXIT!!!
whatever yall say, bunch of cowards in my point of view, happened multiple times ending up winning so i dont really understand your points on being spawn camped
I couldn’t care less.
Maybe your experince is not the same as everyone else’s experience?
What?
What I recommend instead of simply bailing upon being spawn camped (and assuming there is no other safe spawn for you to use), is to hang around for a bit. You’ll find the enemy will typically get overconfident and will drive through your spawn. That is when you spawn and nukes as many as you can while you have spawn protection. For this, make sure you have a vehicle that can deal out a lot of damage as quick as possible. Missile Slingers, SPAA,/IFV, Rocket Buggies, and so on. While you may have little chance of winning the round, you can make it as painful as possible for the enemy, while earning a load of RP/SL (depending on how many you can take down). I’ve shared a clip before a bunch of times with me doing this with an AFT09 (I uptiered to top-tier):
The key is to wait and assess the situation. If the enemy is hull down on an incline and only popping up once your spawn protection is gone, it probably won’t be worth your time.
Saying all the above - there is an issue on maps like Abandoned Factory and Fields of Normandy, where people will be getting spawn camped on one side of the map, while refusing to ever use the safe spawn on the other side. They’re like lemmings unable to adjust their gameplan to the situation.
I was just watching TEC’s (I know, i know) video on QoL changes coming in the patch. Apparently everyone is getting 5 vehicle backups that reset daily. Even less excuse to one death leave after the patch :)
You under estimate the average Warthuner player, those backups will be gone in 3 minutes. All wasted on rushing a TD or hull down MBT they can’t even hope to hurt. That just keeps picking them off at range.
You assume everyone ODLs because of lack of backups.
Does the patch fix multiple full uptiers in a row or increase team IQ?
Fair, if you care that much about uptiers (I don’t). But that comes back to the lineup thing. Some vehicles work better in uptiers than others.
I play mid-rank battles mostly (BR 4.0-7.0) and I have not found that to be the case.
Played a bunch of arcade games.
USA 5.3 vs 6.0 - stayed to end but we lost badly
USA 5.3 vs 6.3 on Attica - killed after making 1 cap and left the battle. HATE that map.
UK 5.0 vs 6.0 - tuffed it out but the Panther Gs were not fun for this lineup
Have read all those posts about how MatchMaker is supposedly working the way Gaijin wants it to. But I have to say, all MM does is make me frustrated. I’ve left after 1 death more often in the last couple months than I did in the 6 months before that.
Besides the uptiers and the often “low IQ teams”, the map rotation (or lack of it) is truly awful.
There are just so many things that make an average player like me say … why bother?
I actually like the guy tbh lol
So do I. Hell, for the past month I’ve mostly been uptiering my 6.7 German lineup to 7.0, and save for a couple rough sessions, I’ve done pretty well in October - good win rates and good K/D on my Tiger IIs and Jagdtiger.
Things worth remembering: quantitative matchmaker means that max 4 people per team can be top BR. Most of your opposition will be lower than +1. Some vehicles are BR agnostic. A Sturer Emil, an M18, a Puma, an M36, all these vehicles that don’t rely on survivability and have either big boi guns or the mobility to consistently engage enemies from the side aspect, play pretty much identically in uptiers.
EDIT: I decided to go and check. My last match with @TheDudesRug was in a full uptier from 7.0 to 8.0. I played the Tiger II Sla and the Tiger II, so for me it was a +1.3 range uptier. What vehicles did we prevalently encounter in the match?
I destroyed: an AMX 13, an AMX 10M, an AMX-50 Surbaisse. Then an AMX M4 killed me. I respawned, killed the AMX M4 and a 2S19M1, then I died to a Somua, respawned, killed the Somua, another Surbaisse, and an AML-90.
TheDudesRug spawned in the Coelian and got 8 ground kills and one air kill as well, before jumping into the Ju 288 C and getting the last 5 kills and the nuke. Those ground kills were:
An AMX-30 1972 (one of the enemy team’s two full downtier guys - the other was in a Vickers Mk 1 on first spawn), an AMX M4, an AMX 10P, a ZSU-23-4V, a P-47D, an ELC Bis, an EBR (1954), and a T-44-100.
Just to further add to the anatomy of this match: the guy who spawned in the AMX-30-1972 and was killed by DudesRug, later respawned in a Surbaisse and was so fixated on getting a revenge kill that he stayed in the open for a bit, and I killed him. Just like that he was out of SP. The two of us knocked one of their 8.0s out of the match within the first like three and a half minutes.
We never encountered the Vickers because he was fighting around B, where he got two kills and died twice.
The guy who was in the ELC was also someone I had killed before, don’t remember who.
On the other hand on the enemy team a guy in the IS-6 was approaching nuke territory with nine kills in his first spawn. Then he died. Respawned in an IS-6 backup, died. Respawned in a BTR-80, and he was one of the five guys killed by TheDudesRug’s bombing run with the Ju 288 C…
Do you see how many turning points were in this match? They happened because both teams kept trying, persevering and respawning if they could.
Not all full uptiers will work out this way. But they are workable.
Most of the time, you’re just wasting an extra 5 minutes
Youre either playing for the sake of it or grinding
At the end of the both,it still nonsense you leave early when you get free kills = better stats = better rewards
That’s why your winrate is low and your average team position shows you’ve been giving up. Have some heart, stick around, fight for the team.
