6.7s are fine against Maus as well, easily flanking & killing unsuspecting Mauses.
We aren’t saying the changes that are happening shouldn’t happen just that a new method of decompression can happen. Why do you keep using tanks from the same nation as an example? Under our system they don’t meet because they shouldn’t fight with each other. Also could you further explain the pt 57 point, I don’t understand your wording.
No they don’t, they hate seeing a maus, what vehicles are you referring to
The BR ceiling can’t stay at 12 under a 0.7 system because things would be IMBALANCED.
0.7 still creates less control & more difficult balancing parameters.
@Crus94
Cause mentioning I kill Maus with T26E5 & the 6.7 event IS-2 for breakfast lunch & dinner sounds braggy.
No. I have been arguing for a 0.7 system since at least 2014 maybe earlier after experiencing it in ground SB beta
I btw also fought for the lowering of Wots and WoWs MM spread from +/-3 to +/-2.
why?
If that is the case then Tiger I and T26 should also meet each other. There is not a single reason you can name outside of performance that two tanks HAVE to meet each other. and the Tiger II as a HT should not face a Maus or T10 or similar. It is like a M22 facing a Bulldog.
Which defuted points. What argument refuted them? None of yours that is for certain as you have in over 20 posts not made a single Argument with substance to it. All you do is claim.
Where did I say that? All i said was that most of the changes could be achived by the 0.7 system and the reduces number would allow gajin to also focus on 9.0 to the end. Right now the changes are not a decompression. They decompress 6.7 and compress 8.0 to 9.0 to a level where around 60% of all up BRed vehicles will be useless untill 9.0 and up is decompressed.
HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH then why is it not in the TT
Okay you have made a point, now what evidence do you have to back this up.
What is the reasoning behind this statement
how?
0.7 matches are happeing rtight now in WT and they are balanced. 0.0 matches are happening and they are balanced. So why would it now suddenly be unbalanced? That makes no sense at all. Stop repeating points I refuted yesterday. I am sick and tired of you not bringing anything new to this. Anyone who read this thread will now read the exact point out of you for the 6th time. You have 0 new arguments and you only repeat already discarded and plainly wrong points no matter how ofter we show youb that YOU ARE WRONG
So you’ve never once considered alternative perspectives to your own.
I considered 0.7, but dropped it because it reduced available slots from 3 to 4, which long term hurts the game. BTW is one of the refuted arguments you make by just arguing for 0.7.
Tiger H1 & M26 can easily kill each other. M26 has armor advantage & a fantastic APCR round, but Tiger H1 has a solid APCBC round.
Also 0.7 matches do not exist in WT.
And now you claim decompression is wrong again.
I posted the reasoning in a previous post: Is it feasible to adjust the BR float to ± 0.7? - #67 by AlvisWisla
That reasoning doesn’t make sense could you reword it to be more understandable or provide new evidence, a d explain where baum went against decompression
it does not reduce these slots at all. Every single BR slot remains unchanged. As I told you 9 times according to search.
So the others are also this weak and wrong? Ok
They do.
They 110% do.
I’ve wasted four hours tonight trying to explain our points to razor there is no getting through to that guy
This is everything that is wrong with war thunder, the performance data is an easily skewable data that can be manipulated out of your asshole, balancing using vehicle performance is the correct way to balance the game, and .7 BR is an acceptable cap on how well a vehicle can perform in it’s current placement in matchmaking.
and holy fuck, the current 12.0 BR system is perfect for 0.7 limit, precisely because 1.0 gap is too wide of a technological and performance gap. XP-50 should not face spitfire Mk.2 and 109F2 but here we are, so is Tiger H, they should by all means not face underpowered tank like 75 sherman, Jumbo 76 should not face Leo 1 and korean era tank, so is plane, Battle of Britain fighter should not face mid-war prop and mid war prop should not face late war superprop with better guns, going up to jet we must not let korean jets without afterburning face afterburning jet with unlockable missile.
The .7 matchmaking ceilling make sure that the vehicle you’re facing has at most either better gun, better supporting technology, or better mobility, but not 2/3 or 3/3 of those criteria, 0.7 BR is where these sort of things happens, where 1.0 BR ensure that you’re either facing plane with better guns and engine, or tank with better rounds and technological advantage like Rangefinder and full stabilizer.
As I outlined the re BRing could be done as easily as changing the spread to 0.7. The whole idea that Gaijin can (or will) just switch the spread to 0.7 is fundamentaly flawed from the start.
There is no way Gaijin will do that because the 0.7 is inherently worse system that the 1.0 as we have now.
There are no advantages to the 0.7 as I already said before. The two step system (which is 0.7) is inherently worse then the three step system because you are inherently loosing one step for small BR adjustments.
Baum is wrong in his thinking. He think that 3 step system must be inherently more unbalanced because you have more steps but that is lie which I showed with the table.
You still fail to explain how you loose a step when all steps remain.
And as i showed with the Maus removing a BR step up and down will make balance easier as there are less variables to consider when moving around stuff making each step far easier to access and more meaningful
No your table showed that inorder to get a balance as finetuned as a0.7 system we would need a much wider BR range which would create massive holes in a Techtree and remove the very concept of a lineup from the game.
There are 12 BRs. I’ve mathematically proved 1.3 - 2 are compressed personally.
For 0.7 I’ll use 3, and for 1 I’ll use 4 to make the math easier to understand.
Under 1.0 let’s say 14.0 BR can exist with everything decompressed. 40 tiers of matchmaking.
Under the current 1.0, that’s 43/4 = 10 separations. Meaning 10 vehicles cannot ever face each other, a decompressed state.
Now, if you want to retain 10 with 0.7, which you ideally want.
10x3, is 30, and 30 translated into BRs is 10.7.
It gets even more compressed if you use 3 & 2.
In order to justify 0.7 system without compressing, you’d have to prove there is enough compression in WT to justify an increase to ~15.3 - 16.0 ceiling.
So far, no one has mathematically proved that amount of compression exists, and we’re about to be decompressed by another 0.3 this year.
@七-十三_H14
Performance data is only skewable if the vehicle isn’t played by many people.
And no, all my 11.0s do just fine against 12.0s in air, I should know since I play air the most.
Jumbo 76 cannot ever face Leo 1 from next update forward.
Missile AB jets will be decompressed in the future.
I don’t understand the importance of having the two step or three step adjustment. The only effective change being made is shortening the br range that vehicles can see. No need for extra adjustments everything remains
3 steps: Maus is 7.7, Tiger 2 is 7.0, and IS-3 is 7.0, IS-6 is 7.3.
4 steps: Maus is 7.7, IS-6 is 7.3, IS-3 is 7.0, Tiger 2 is 6.7.
4 steps in the matchmaking system allows for more control over different vehicles that can still be effective against others.
What is the importance of having ten, there isn’t a problem with having more. Your ‘calculations’ for ten doesn’t mean anything like at all. The only change is in what vehicles others can see that’s it
Matchmaking and BR range is set on a different code altogether, the matchmaking only need a simple line of code that in layman term could be read as -if 7.0, -start queue max 7.7 min 6.3, else continue search
1,0 BR range is where all the technological imbalance happens, 10.7 and 11.7 means stock 9B vs stock 9E, regular radar vs PD Radar, IR only vs SARH capable, no computer vs full CCIP, 450hp engine and gen 1 hispano vs 550hp engine and gen5 hispano, elyptical wing vs laminar flow wing, 2 stage 2 speed supercharger vs 2 stage 3 speed supercharger + MW50 injection system, bare tracer vs AP incendiary tracer, and other variable that makes 1.0 BR gap a pain to deal with.
Why is tiger 2 7.0 and the is6 7.3 what is the logic behind that
