M48 & Tiger 2 are similar.
They’re literally within 5 years of each other, both can pen each other.
The difference is M48 is faster and has a HEATFS round.
Tiger 2’s APCBC still easily pens & kills the M48 tho.
Look at that 50% penetration coverage with Pzgr39.
Again with personal opinions you are defending compression
You are advocating for compression right here please stop flip flopping
You already admitted you think similar vehicles fighting each other is compression.
I bet you also think Tiger 1s facing IS-2s is compression.
@Crus94
And now you’re also saying that similar vehicles fighting each other is compression.
LOL!
Thanks for proving me so correct you two.
It is unreasonable to call similar vehicles facing each other compression.
And it is unreasonable to claim vehicles aren’t similar when they obviously are.
I’ll call a spade a spade.
Maus and IS-2 aren’t similar enough to face each other.
IS-3 & Maus are tho.
M4A2 & production Panthers aren’t similar enough to face each other. [Contrary to real-life battles]
M4A1 76 & Panther G are tho.
Where did I say that?
That is an utter lie. I said Tiger IIs should not meet IS 3s and that Tiger IIs no longer meeting IS- 3 is decompression. which it is. So yea Tiger IIs facing IS 3s is compression. and 0.7 will get rid of that so again you show that 0.7 is decompression. And again you argue for compression.
PERSONAL OPINION IS NOT A FACT
Similar in balance, a tiger one fighting an is2 is ridiculous and in the games current state is compression
I believe he is incapable or unwilling to understand that a decease in the matchmaker Δx would effectively be a decompression of the BRs
Edited my first reply to showcase the love & civility of the 0.7 matchmaker lobbyist crowd that think IS-3 & Tiger 2 aren’t similar, and think Tiger 1 is so vastly inferior to the godly IS-2.
I will say this, while I regret all of my aggressive takes toward your points, I never stooped so low as to insult your character.
I think it needs to flexi. Sub 5 minutes of que time, it limits to 0.7. Past that goes up to 1.0. Best of both worlds
This is not the point of the topic.
This topic is about a change to the matchmaker allowing 0.7 br difference in match instead of a 1.0. This is the topic, no personal onions on vehicles no complete off topic stuff. Just debate AND ACCEPT points made by both sides. And please for the love of God provide meaningful evidence when your trying to make a point
Again personal opinion.
The stats disagree with you. The stats indicate that an IS 3 is 100% more efficient and powerfull in a match than a Tiger II hence the full bR up
the same goes for the Tiger I H and IS 2
As the main point of decompression is to lower the power scale between tanks in a gap to sth lower than 100% your argument is once again 100% pro compression.
It does not matter if you feel that it is fine. What matters is that even gajin agrees that an IS 3 is 100% more powerfull than a Tiger II H.
And that decompression is about reducing the power gap between vehicles in a match below 100%
So in any decompressed world a Tiger II H will not meet an IS3
be it the 0.7 MM or Shadow_CZ BR extension to 16.7. In both the Tiger II and IS 3 would not meet each other.
I still prefer that total BRs decompress so only similar enough vehicles are within the 1.0 BR range of matchmaking.
That way we retain the precision of 4 steps in the matchmaker.
No compression of BRs for matchmaker OR total.
That’s why I came to that conclusion personally.
That’s why I oppose 0.7, and why I think it’s not feasible.
It’s just faster, easier, and superior to decompress the total BRs & retain the more precise 4 step matchmaker.
Long term solution, absolutely, but weve been waiting for that for what, 2 years? Short term, stop gap solution, reduce the BR MM range
The issue with that is, for example, KV-1E becomes OP since it’d never see 5.0.
Tiger 1 would become OP since it’d never see 6.7.
T26E5 would be the most OP heavy in the game never seeing 7.7s.
Almost every heavy tank in WT becomes OP if BRs aren’t changed.
And I’ve played almost every heavy to be able to say that.
You thick skilled ass, we have been telling you for OVER THREE DAYS that this change is DECOMPRESSION WITH PROOF and you have done absolutely nothing to meaningfully argue yours and ours point. Idk if this is flagged just try and listen to the VALID POINTS BEING MADE.
Well you see you are wrong.
As you can see in post 160.
Sth the main advocates of both sytsems (me and Shadow_CZ respectively) could agree on was that
the extension is not faster
Not easier
Better in some but worse in other aspects (so no superiority complex for you)
And that the 4step scale is still a non existent ficment of your imagination.
I think he’s ignoring my user profile overall.
Maybe add 0.3 to all heavies then at the same time?
My experience is air not tank (so limited knowledge for that), in air i dont think there is any balance issues with not seeing 1.0 difference like that
Crus, I’ve taken in your presentations.
I just dismissed them because my current line of reasoning is superior to that line of reasoning.
I care about precision, one could argue I’m addicted to precision.
Of course, I know precision has its limits.
I support the 4 step matchmaker because it allows for the most gradual of steps between similar but different vehicles if the total BR is long enough.
@Morvran
Well in the case of air, P51H5NA becomes the most powerful prop in the game never seeing Su-11s, its jet rival.
And balancing is complicated enough with 1.0, and Gaijin has over 6 years experience with balancing 1.0, with a decompression plan in effect, already 0.7 BRs higher than 9 months ago, with another 0.3 - 0.7 coming before the end of this year.
An entire BR of decompression or more in a 12 month timespan.
