IRIS-T SLM and Multi-Vehicle SAM Systems!

With such values: Is the SLM even able to reach its expected range of 40 km or its maximum height of 20 km in game at all?

Right now no

So it’s clearly underperforming and worth a bug report if someone has sources about its flight envelope.

Guess it’s also a difference whether you fire a missile from a platform moving at high speed at altitude, opposed to from the ground, where the missile itself has to compensate the speed/altitude advantage the aircraft has…

That’s the reason the IRIS-T SLM missile has a different missile body (compared to the SLS which uses the AA IRIS-T as is). The SLM has a bigger rocket motor (152 mm instead of 127 mm) on around three quarters of its length with a much higher impulse. Speaking in volumes: The fuel mass of the rocket engine is approx. 50% higher with a different burn profile compared to the standard IRIS-T, optimized for surface launch.

You can see the wider rocket engine here:

I don’t know if the SLM missile is longer too as I didn’t finde any data about that. The approx. 50% fuel mass are expected if the missile would have the same length of 2,94 meters as the AA variant. If the SLM is longer that it would have even more fuel.

So even longer than the AA variant. Pixel measuring I would say about 40% longer rocket motor (measured from below the warhead section). So I would guess the SLM has more than double the fuel than the standard AA variant paired with higher impulse and no need for a complex burn profile like the AA variant.

AA: ~27.932 cm³
SLM: ~58.077 cm³

Here is the thing thw Iris-t slm only ever has been ground launched.
Its not used for a2a launches.
So wr only have the stats for the ground launched one

not at all, not even closely

I mean that does not happen.

Doesn’t it? ;)

(Fair Play: November 2024)

They aren’t always listed, but they happen. I think since that specific fair play post every fair play post has included at least how many of the larger teamkill bans has been issued.

I have literally reported a cheater every single month for like 2 years, every month going into a replay, watching the gameplay, writing down timestamps doing all the work for you guys, yet he was allowed to rack up thousands of matches and kills with blatant cheating and nothing was done about it and whatever cheat detection there is completely failed as well.

But I’m supposed to believe people will get punished for trolling by taking advantage of a poorly designed and poorly thought out system because of replays being looked at?

okay so,

  1. Cheating bans are way more complex than people often realize. I don’t know exactly how Gaijin does it but in general most players that complain think way to short sightedly when it comes to cheat bans. I highly recommend that you look up how most online games handles issues with cheating.

  2. Other types of bans are completely separate from cheating bans and are dealt with in a VERY different way. You cannot compare the two in practically any online game ever.

Nothing complex about banning a cheater, nothing short sighted about 2 years of watching it happen and expecting something to do be done about it.

Letting them roam around for years uncontested is a major issue and completely unacceptable and is exactly why this game has so many people who do it, because it’s worth the risk as Gaijin completely fails to deal with it, either because they simply are incapable, or unwilling because the benefit from it.

Has also completely put me off from even bothering to report cheaters as I already know it’s a waste of my time to jump through the hoops to do so.

In this case you just need to build a better system and not punish players for using it as expected.

You seem to have no understanding on how to effectively deal with these issues, i again urge you to actually read up on how to best combat cheating.
There is no reason for me to comment on this further until you have.

Edit:
This is also of topic, we can continue in PM’s if you want.

Guess neither does Gaijin then.

This is also of topic, we can continue in PM’s if you want

It’s on the topic of wanting to punish people who use the new systems in a predictable ways because the system is poorly designed and poorly thought out and not at all suited for the game.

Having to rely on moderators watching replays to punish people who spawn vehicles to block entrances is questionable for one and completely pointless on top, it does nothing to improve player experience, those matches are still negatively affected every time it happens, it doesn’t make it better because 2 days or 2 years later that person gets a warning for trolling.

This is a topic on multi vehicle systems and the IRIS-T SLM.

Both those topics are of topic.

How is people using multi spawn vehicles to block of entrances off topic?

Because that is no longer what you are talking about, you’re talking about how Gaijin will handle those players.
