SLM can barely do Mach 2 after 15 seconds of burn when it should be Mach 3.2 at peak velocity and this speed should be on the 20km not after 6km only which is insane for an irist and you can out pull it
and hq17 can break Mach 2.70 at only 6 seconds of burn i think slm severely lack in it performance right now and lets see what they would do with it
both in aoa and g pull are really lacking should outperform mica em and that missile is impossible to doge at 10km even when burner is off
SLM is the world greatest spaa
I wonder what magic is being used
Praise gaijin for the cas killer
Your argument is built on assumption that just because forum users make up for fraction of the playerbase, it must mean that everyone not on forums must like smaller maps. You dont see problem with that line of logic?
What do you mean?
The good old ad populum fallacy lol people who are quiet or never post on the forum must be OK with things, thus they are all on my side!
With such values: Is the SLM even able to reach its expected range of 40 km or its maximum height of 20 km in game at all?
Right now no
So it’s clearly underperforming and worth a bug report if someone has sources about its flight envelope.
Guess it’s also a difference whether you fire a missile from a platform moving at high speed at altitude, opposed to from the ground, where the missile itself has to compensate the speed/altitude advantage the aircraft has…
That’s the reason the IRIS-T SLM missile has a different missile body (compared to the SLS which uses the AA IRIS-T as is). The SLM has a bigger rocket motor (152 mm instead of 127 mm) on around three quarters of its length with a much higher impulse. Speaking in volumes: The fuel mass of the rocket engine is approx. 50% higher with a different burn profile compared to the standard IRIS-T, optimized for surface launch.
You can see the wider rocket engine here:
I don’t know if the SLM missile is longer too as I didn’t finde any data about that. The approx. 50% fuel mass are expected if the missile would have the same length of 2,94 meters as the AA variant. If the SLM is longer that it would have even more fuel.
So even longer than the AA variant. Pixel measuring I would say about 40% longer rocket motor (measured from below the warhead section). So I would guess the SLM has more than double the fuel than the standard AA variant paired with higher impulse and no need for a complex burn profile like the AA variant.
AA: ~27.932 cm³
SLM: ~58.077 cm³
Here is the thing thw Iris-t slm only ever has been ground launched.
Its not used for a2a launches.
So wr only have the stats for the ground launched one
not at all, not even closely
I mean that does not happen.
Doesn’t it? ;)
They aren’t always listed, but they happen. I think since that specific fair play post every fair play post has included at least how many of the larger teamkill bans has been issued.
I have literally reported a cheater every single month for like 2 years, every month going into a replay, watching the gameplay, writing down timestamps doing all the work for you guys, yet he was allowed to rack up thousands of matches and kills with blatant cheating and nothing was done about it and whatever cheat detection there is completely failed as well.
But I’m supposed to believe people will get punished for trolling by taking advantage of a poorly designed and poorly thought out system because of replays being looked at?
