IRIS-T is the single worst top tier SPAA in the game.

Maybe we should tell the Diehl to repurpose the seeker of the Stinger so they can put them on the SLM instead kek.

At least they need to provide unclassified Primary Sources or at least two Secondary Sources for this “buff”.

Guys ig we have to do something, somehow promote rolling back these changes ( by creating a suggestion for example ). I can’t make suggestions ( All my previous suggestions were not very good in terms of design ). The only one german IR AA shouldn’t suffer like this
There’s genuinely nothing anyone can do. This change isn’t based on realism or anything it’s just a blatant nerf to cater towards the CAS players and the nations profiting from strong CAS

A bit of reviewbombing, the reason can be global: unfair nerfing not according to actual documents or smth like that idk
If you start reviewbombing over an unrealistic implementation of a NATO vehicle you might as well become unemployed, because that’s a full time job at this point

I honestly dont even give a shit anymore about LDIRCM helis. Killing planes has become so much more worse that SLM is genuinely ass. The fucking IR terminal phase is about as reliable as war thunder developers when its asked of them to not fuck something up.
Literally just had my SLMs missiles not even go into IR phase on an Su30SM flying in a straight line. 4KM IR range lock on, yea sure, in your dreams. And its going to be the same fucking thing as with Kh38 post.
0 fucking response from devs, 0 fucking response from CMs to the fact that people who play the system want the 4km to be made back to previous value OR we will get some slop of an answer in form of:
“The change of this was a result of reports and ongoing work on these systems” with the “reports” being imaginary and the “ongoing work” being based on gaijin experts. Mind you the same experts that think that Iglas and Stingers are the same because “they look similar”
fuckin sick of this shit, the second they add something that equalizes the fields in comes bvvd with “but asymmetric warfare”. Even more jarring is the fact that they will be adding SEAD missiles into WT so i cant wait to be completely fucking useless because someone bought 120 euro premium jet with 17 billion HARMS/KHs along with Kh38MTs whos existence has come to the russian MoD in a dream

And wait until you find out your lock range is reduced to like 1.5 km on snow maps, they made this already sad system worse than it already was, all in the name of keeping CAS happy and saving room temperature IQ peeps who bought the Su-30MK2 from having to use 0.1% of their brain capacity. (Curious how the change arrived at the same time as the Su-30MK)
We’re already seeing the dumbing down of players who abuse DLRICM, literally all you see is helis on hover mode spamming up missiles with their brains turned off, it’s truly a measure of how absurdly stupid the whole situation is. I mean, my video above is proof of that. No thoughts, no fear of AAs, just spam spam spam space bar and win while not moving a finger.
And let’s face it, you are not guiding a missile for 10 to 15 km on Datalink alone, anyone who knows what they are doing will hit the deck and stay away from being painted by the radar as soon as they spawn, so this IR nerf made it so that only people who are in range to kill you can be engaged effectively. So what was the whole point of adding long range SAMs when you have effectively neutered SLM to a maximum engagement range of 4 to 6 kilometers?
And I forgot to mention that IRIS-T is the slowest of all the SAMs added, it can barely top Mach 3, so there is that issue as well, you are not going to be able to hit anyone at distance with Datalink guidance, it’s borderline impossible to die to IRIS-T now as a pilot.

hey so quick question, are we going to see any response from the developers at all this time, or will it turn into basically the same hushed and smothered type deal as with Kh38MTs? You are a CM and while you cant say it immediately i think pretty much every here would be pretty happy to hear literally any response from developers, to whom you have contact with, on this.
The reduction of the IR phase has just been a pure nerf and i couldnt for the love of me find any report or bit of information related to the IR seeker terminal phase being 4km.
Additionally because the SLMs SL seeker is literally the same seeker that is present on Eldenhet98 (SLS) one which is unchanged this makes even less sense.

Probably. Questions are left unanswered and theres literally 0 sources for the change. Its just a blatant nerf with a terrible explanation attached.
