I have one secondary source that says that the cone covering the IR seeker opens when it enters range, which should be at 25 km

You can´t really compare the FB-10 ot that though as you can shoot it without a radar lock at ranges up to like 18km.
This is absurdly insulting and comes along with the comically broken LDIRCM changes.
Gaijin is full of the most putrid malice towards logic, in the 3yrs the Pantsir absolutely molested all other CAS gaijin did nothing but buff it, even when it was clearly the best SPAA in the game bar none.

I like the fact Stona (as dev rep) mention in War Thunder "Spearhead" - Changelog I quote “to increase resistance to IRCM”. In fact in the game nothing changed about the IRIS-T capability against magical forcefield, it just makes it worse.

I am happy to aggressively violate (with the Pantsir) anyone who harbors notions of the Pantsir not being top 3 even to today.
I have played it for years, and I am happy to show how utterly un-fun it is to play against. If played right, it will either kill you, or effectively remove you from the game.

So we had AA what actually worked nicely.
ONly issue was these ldirmc’s ( and funny how people cry about mi28 when apaches works even better :D )
But now you NERF iris, and trying to sell it as a BUFF to players.
So now we shoot some broken *** plane , example rafale , before it could track it on 10km by own seeker, and now we need to keep radar ping until 4km, dont get me wrong but please lighten me how this is a BUFF? And how this will help us to counter CAS.

@Smin1080p_WT Can Community Manager give us an explanation? GAIJIN refuse to provide Germany with a usable helicopter, won’t buff the PARS3, and now nerfed the IRIS-T without any justification.Right now I genuinely wish Gaijin could refund all the RP and SL I spent on Germany—just let me go grind the Soviet tree instead.

LDIRCM helis aside, which is a whole other issue, the IRIS was way overtuned.
Havent played against it yet since the update, have to see how bad it is now.
Did people really thought Gaijin will let SPAAs dominate over CAS ?

well the main issue currently because this IRIS-T only works again drones now. You only have very small chance to hit heli or plane.

Title: Why is Germany getting nerfed when the stats say otherwise?
I honestly don’t understand Gaijin’s logic anymore. According to the official statistics, Germany’s win rate is only around 45%, clearly below average. Yet the IRIS-T gets nerfed. Meanwhile, nations like Russia have LIMUR and Kh-38 with over 60% win rate, and nothing gets adjusted there.
People on the forum keep complaining about “OP Russian weapons,” but instead of balancing that, Gaijin keeps weakening Germany. Where’s the logic in that? If you look purely at the numbers, it should actually be the other way around to restore balance.
Can anyone explain why Gaijin is doing this?
Or are they just ignoring their own statistics?

My understanding is that Gaijin isn’t saying the missile has less lock ranges than other missiles, but rather the cone covering the IR seeker only turns on 4km from the target, which I’m not sure where they’re getting that info/idea from.

Question is if the SLM is now more effective against LDIRCM, or is it just Gaijins poor excuse for lock range reduction.
