By the way, I just checked the AGM-65A and they have difficulty capturing a target from 6 km, more often they succeed from 5 km.
They don’t have equivalent weapons… but they are superior… nice logic. This is why nobody takes the crying about Russian bias seriously.
Swiss Hunter 9.7 GRB BR with 2 mavericks
My point regardless was that if the new SAMs are not being effective on Russian helis than they should be buffed to fix that, not have the over powered system added to more helis.
I play Japan as much, or more than Russia, they don’t even have a SACLOS SPAA to pull to deal with the IRCCM and HIRSS helis, so why do you think I might want the system balanced before it’s spread to every other heli in the game?
Firstly, there are two of them and secondly, they are not Marvericks. They even have a different name and different performance characteristics.
yes, the same number as Russian CAS get of Kh-29T @ 11.0… but 1.3 BR lower where most SPAAs can’t fire until its launched, and if you point lock an let the seeker auto acquire you can stay completely out of range of even the Roland 3 and stingers at that BR.
The Flz Lwf LB 82 is an AGM-65B, I used the wrong Maverick for the comparison doesn’t make any difference on the stat card thought as it’s identical to the A except it has a higher zoom on the optics.
Spoiler
But this still doesn’t change my point that if the IRCCM on the MI-28 is making it immune to missiles the answer to that is to either nerf it or buff the missiles, not add the broken system to more helicopters. Once the system is balanced them I’m 100% for adding it to all the helis that historically have it, I just want the system fixed/ balanced before it’s added to a bunch more stuff floods the game with more un-killable CAS.
Because they are?? Russia is the best country in GRB, superior CAS,Helis,CAP,AA so quit crying.
You literally stated that they lack equivalent weapons at the same BR but claim they are some how better… because reasons… Sorry I’m not wasting anymore time on someone that is going to make such… strange and self defeating arguments.
I stated that Russia doesn’t have any similar missiles to the Mavs to be added at that BR, but other than that they’re definitely superior than any other country.
What about britain :)
11.3 3 isn’t it? I do like that you have to grind out the F-111 that is 11.7 in GRB 1st as well… Gaijin never misses a chance to mess over the UK players
The australian F-111 doesn’t get mavs. The Tornado GR.1 gets TV guided bombs. Unless you count the AJ.168 anti ship missiles on the buccaneer, britain do not recieve fire and forget ATGMs until the Harrier GR.7 at 12.0 ground realistic. (not counting the premium [email protected])
Oh, no I was just commenting on the fact you have to grind a 11.7 plane to get a 11.3 plane for GRB.
They are labeled as bombs, but they are kind of a hybrid as they have a rocket booster so while they rely more on inherited velocity of the launch plane than an ATGM I can still get them to hit out to 20km in test flight using point lock from 7km alt mach 1 drops. No idea how well they work in an actual ground match though as my British tanks are well behind my air.
Also I had no clue the Bucc got TV ASMs, how well do they work? Can they lock tanks or are they like the German ARH ones that can only lock ships?
Haven’t tried the buccaneer, I really don’t feel like stockgrinding a gunless plane lol. You’re saying PGM 500s are like the AGM 130?
Yeah I’m not sure about the exact performance comparison, but they have a booster on them to keep their speed up and extend their range, you can see it on the bottom of the bomb in this screen shot:
Maybe I’ll think about finally crewing the Tornados then. I put them off for their horrific loadout for stock grinding and the fact it seemed like a waste of SL(why is the GR.1 even 11.7 ARB)
yeah stock grind is the suck on any nation, but I think the 4 PGMs or 3 and IR targeting pod would be pretty decent for CAS, you can see targets and point lock out to 20 or so Km and track lock seems to be 6 or 7 km on par with mavs. but like I said, I haven’t tested it in anything other then test drive, so it might be worth looking into it a bit more. @Morvran is probably the guy to ask about it.
For ARB, Gr1 is okay, weakest of 7 for no apparent reason but with the right loadout can reliably kill bases.
For GRB…
If you face 12.0 SPAA, don’t bother pawning in, PGMs are so slow that they will always be intercepted by anything and you’ll never get into a position to use GBUs. Especially against a Pantsir. With an 11.7 lineup it’s the only F2P option…if you are playing 12.0+. Then you’ll probably find better success with the Gr7 but the Gr4 does have advantages the Gr1 doesn’t and may stand a chance. I’ve personally not used it in GRB as I just can’t be.bothered dealing with the CR2s
