I agree on that, yes, however i find the Kh-29 to be act quite well in a non-contested environment
They also don’t work at night, but that’s a general TV thing.

The Mi-4AV was pretty good back when I was playing that BR, I dunno how it holds up though, The stuff with the HIRSS is really bad to fight with the SPAAs that rely on stingers like the type 93, you really need to be aware of the people in radar SPAAs that know to bring ammo that isn’t self destroying to deal with helis

Yeah, that’s the 29T, it’s alright if you can hit it, especially if there’s a cluster of enemies, because it’s just a rocket bomb.
From my experience in the Su-24 (In WT) and Su-25T (In DCS) the laser KH-29L is generally better if you have weapon zoom, especially on a plane like the MiG-27K with the Shkval in the nose.

Iirc the longest shot that landed successfully was from like 15-17 km, although i find it quite annoying to play it against Leopards, but a Kab-500 does the job for those

Either way, it’s not hard to get long ass shots off with the KH-29L, especially in Simulator battles. I find the TV weapons to be good for camping brats.
The 2A7. Those are annoying for the massive spot on the turret where they have the composite armor. It just gives me a hit
Yeah, because a direct hit from 150kg of explosives won’t leave the tank spread a few kilometers apart. Oddly enough I’ve found with explosive only guided weapons, hitting the ground next to the vehicle will kill it 100% of the time usually.

I think we are on different wave lengths… I’m saying CAS is OP in general, and I’m mocking the USA mains for not noticing until Russia got such blatantly OP CAS, You seem to think I’m saying that the OP CAS Russia has is fine. I bought up previous examples of OP CAS weapon systems to highlight what I see as a hypocritical standard, no to justify things like the Kh-38 existing.
Oh yeah. I totally agree that CAS is op. I say that because i play the ADATS. I can intercept mavs and hammers but the Kh-38 is pretty hard, of course because they keep it nerfed (ADATS) but it is what it is.

Anyway I gotta get some sleep, sorry if I came across as combative over it, but it rubs me the wrong way when the CAS issue is blown off as “Russian bias” Sure it currently Russia has the most oppressive CAS currently at top tier, but it’s not like other nations haven’t done the same thing over the years… or at other BRs than top tier.

I don’t remember Maverick carriers being as brazen as KH-38MT carriers, due to the fact that Mavericks have a range of 10 km, while the Pantsir had a fair 20 km before the nerf. That is, the Pantsir shot down planes that appeared in the air and they didn’t have time to reach the ground. Yes, after some time, the Pantsir was fixed, but the situation did not improve, watch any video of Maverick carriers flying, hugging the ground and using various tactics against SAMs. And watch how the X-38MT carriers fly, they simply release a swarm of their KH-38MTs from respawn and make a guaranteed 6 frags. Maverick carriers never had the opportunity to play outside the range of the SAM, even if there were no Pantsirs against them, the Flaracrad and other SAMs reached them.
You do know Mavs existed before the Pantsir right? and they are in the game at 9.7 currently… with a 7.5km tracking lock while SPAAs at that BR have a MAX 6km lock range. you do the math. I’m going to bed, I’m too tiered and drunk to argue over something I have already explained.
If you are talking about AGM-65A, then the capture range is 6 km. And when the Mavericks were introduced, they were already 2S6 with a launch range of 8 km.
Never did the Mavericks’ carriers play defenseless, they were always under the SPAA’s sights.

There are no Maverick carriers on 9.7.
iirc one of the israel a4s has 65a around there, but those only get track lock around 2-3km or less most of the time
