Its this:

i think
Thank you, someone was taught this stuff
Hell if I would know we would need to ask Raytheon but that will never give us information
I think if we figured out the propellant that may be enough…
oh plz if can’t find the other Canadian CF-18 is better choice for Britain plz not other Tornado F3 with AMRAAM i admit it i can’t play Tornado F3 i really don’t know how (whoever can i have respect for them)
If it had later AMRAAM, like C5s and had Data-link, it would be fine, a lot stronger than the current F3. Im not sure how much Id play it though, especially as it wouldnt have ASRAAM (like it did IRL)
But Sea Harrier FA2 would be rather fun as an early AMRAAM carrier.
Im hoping though that the Typhoon wont be far behind. Ideally wont need the CF-18 because we will have that. Though if Gaijin continue to deny anything British made then we might need the CF-18
Its fun with the new SB brackets. 10.7-11.7 means you spend all day long slapping Mig-23ML wallet warriors out of the sky :D
No, its been the primary air threat in the Ukrainian war, and like the AIM-54, the idea that its “Only for hitting large and non-maneuvrable targets” is entirely a myth.
Fair enough. What I had read on the matter eluded to that and whilst it has been fired at Ukrainian aircraft, and they need to defend against it, they were able to do so reliably
Tbf, thats the US’ fault, as they COULD aquire the meteor, but have actively been getting in the way of any meteor integration as they continue to be protectionist of their military industrial complex while allowing the companies they rely on for military development to screw them seven ways to sunday
the missle only useful for targeting big planes like transporters or radar planes?
which like Aim 260 propably didnt leave development yet or entered production
and they want anyone who use their planes to use their stuff as well
Comparison of reduced smoke missiles being launched in different atmospheric conditions. One fired in Australia, one in Norway. Missile in question is Amraam-er not the typical amraam. Rocket motor of amraam-er comes from rim-162 evolved sea sparrow missile.
Its more that theyre fired from very long ranges irl because Russia like Ukraine doesnt have air superiority. Its been noted to kill planes, and is a very strong threat, but if yoy know its coming and was fired near its max range, its gonna struggle to do anything but scre you off.
Same as the AIM-54, you likely arent a credible threat at 110NM to a fighter, but at 50NM you could be incredibly dangerous for example
Mind the original topic please
the topic which is crap in the first place about a salty russian main complaining about skill issue?
Topic = missile smoke (mainly reduced smoke missiles)
like i said because of a salty russian main having a skill issue
Okay. I think Aim-9M need buffs:
They are clearly under-performing compared to IRL levels
Thats alright if they are having a skill issue. It gives us the opportunity to talk about the missile smoke in detail. We can ignore any emotional non sense and concentrate on the facts.
but it has a smokeless motor, it doesnt produce smoke, only under specific circumstances would it leave a trail, gajin cant code those specific circumstances for each map individualy for the specific weather types it might happen. Thats way to much work and better spend with reasonable problems.
Ergo this whole topic is irrelavant and a joke
