Interesting uptier bug

in my last match me and friend got uptiered by 2.0 BR yes 2.0. It’s must be a bug.

And this is the session id/link: 4947cc500125486 Gaijin Entertainment - Single Sign On

It looks like a famously stacked 9.3 match considering like 90% of players are 9.3 (sth else people deny can happen btw)
The tam 2IP is 9.3 which is already above your 8.0 and that happens occasionally, the highest I ever had was 0.7BR higher I believe, might have been 1.0 higher.

Can you please post the final screen, so we can see squads.

Edit:
Solution likely here:

How is it a full downtier when his lineup was 8.0 and the rest of the match apparently was 9.3 (like there are 3 or so vehicles not at 9.3 + his platoon

He literally has posted a screen showing his squad. what else do you need?

I would like to see the final screen, where I can identify if he was in a larger squad. I looked briefly into the replay but found no info there.

Click on his name in the replay, it will highlight his squad.

If he had been in a larger 3- or 4-squad and higher BR members got lost or dropped early, this would happen. I am not sure how to rule this option out.

but here I am kind:

His squad, see his mate in green

Random other squad, see the squat mate in green again

By simply not assuming as a default that people would lie? Like you almost always do?

And the replay is all we need, it has all the information when you look for it.

Read above problem with a 4-squad.

Look at screenshots. It shows ALL THE SQUADMATES.

Those same will be shown in the end screen you wanted to have, so no. It changes nothing

In the internet? If you want some certainty, you have to see which options there are for this to happen. And then you try to check and eliminate them.

Sure, but that is your job. Asking for more information when everything was already provided is lazynes.

Its quite simple.
Look at the information provided. if sth seems off investigate.

Not: Oh sth I do not believe happened, lets asks for more information instead of first looking at what was provided and going from there.

It is simply an issue of tone, not results. Or in other words, it is bad manners being normalised by this very forum (its not just you who assumes everything is a lie by default, its essentially every major poster on this forum who does this, making the place hella toxic)

It is you who assumes I assume …
I politely asked for the final screen.

I only see one option for this event to happen bug free with the authentic info provided:
The squad was larger when it started queue, but when the match formed, some member lost contact or quited, and was replaced. We would see a 2 squad that was placed with a higher BR level. Do you see any other option of this occuring by the rules?

If no other option exists, it is either this or a bug.

Well first of it is definetely not “regular” that this occures, but it has happened to me on a few (less than 5 I believe) occasions and I play solo all the time.

but lets look at a few possibilities:

  1. longer queue times remove limits on the matchmaker 1 by 1.
  2. the match maker could have run into a bug (overflow or skipping a check due to bad coding)
  3. The server could have lagged out and accidentially dropped them into a wrong game because of overlapping match IDs between the servers (imagine it like each match on each server having an ID and server ID. Multi server players being placed into the corresponding match ID + server ID. if two matches end up with the same ID but the server laggs out and ignores the server ID chaos ensues)

my guess is nr. 2 or nr. 1 possibly both as the match is also stacked with 9.3 indicating that it is an almost 100% 9.3 match or a +/-0BR to +/-0.3BR match. This indicates that a lot of people waited for a longer time at that BR. Removing the +/-1BR requirement from the MM, this happens quite often and is hard to notice in a match.
The narrowing of the BR range from the normal could have caused an over or underflow and created the situation where the MM placed them in the wrong match due to their BRs being mistaken for higher BRs.

It might also be that they waited so long that the upper BR limit got removed, but in that case one would assume that they are not going to be placed in an almost 100% 9.3 match but rather into a 9.3 match to replace some of the 8.3s which would make up the meat of that match in a normal MM situation.

Is it enough

Oh one more idea.
The MM could have bugged out and made them into a 9.7-10.0 squad. Making them the main stars in a 9.7-10.0 match with only 2 top tier players (which is fully possible as the only set rule is that there can be no more than 8 top tier players per match, but not on what side they are or how many there are exactly.)

So a match with lets say two IS4Ms on one team and exclusively 6.7s and 7.0s is absolutely possible and normal behaviour for the MM.

This would explain why there are so many 9.3s and some 9.0s as a mid heavy match would also be possible. SO 9.3 would be the mid BR with 9.0 the low and 9.7 the high. a +/-0.7BR match, which is quite common.

Mate, who is your chiropractor? I haven’t been able to stretch like that in a loooooooong time.
