I don’t know if there’s any truth to this or not but I’ve noticed an increasing number of people stating there’s a very faint instructor in Sim? Does any know if this is true or can any devs/mods answer this question?
Not SAS modes but a built in hidden instructor. I personally think it’s more of a case of Gaijin not modelling elevators correctly but there’s a lot of people coming out of the woods now stating there’s a faint instructor.
I don’t know if the devs read the Sim section of the forum but it’d be nice to get confirmation either way.
When you use Full-real Controls/Mouse Joystick/Simplified,
you get:
Auto-wings levelling when you center the mouse joystick
It prevents you from doing vertical loops without keyboard override (pressing W/S or CTRL/SHIFT)
It prevents you from rolling inverted (unless override with A/D).
I have once got curious about it when someone in sim discord complained they can’t recover spins.
Watch my cursor position versus the movement of the flight stick:
Notice the autolevel: I have my cursor at “neutral pitch” and in the spin the stick moves forward and back as it tries to fight the wobble of the nose.
Also notice: When I input hard left/right rudder with centered roll input, the stick moves to fight the proverse roll from yaw.
Not a problem at all mate I just thought I’d ask if there was any instructor present in Simulator mode as some of the flight models are acting strange and there’s been rumours going around that there was a lightly implemented instructor going on behind the scenes stopping certain aircraft from stalling etc.
