That’s called not researching the LRF module or unlounting it
Noobs wont like the idea, lets keep range finder how it is because thats realistic, and completely ignore other realistic features because its not good for us, just pure nonsense …
SB is the most realistic mode in WT, so all of your suggestions should go there.
Rangefinder works exactly the same across every gamemode so what are you talking about
I agree, let’s remove dart rounds too
Let’s remove gunsights from cockpits.
lets remove flight controls, makes flying too easy
Not every game mode should be super realistic, that’s why we have three tiers of realism.
Your suggestions are definitely best suited for SB.
Did you even read it?
They’re suggestion doesn’t even makes sense because if LRF was more realistic it would actually buff it and give us Target lead. IDK why it’s surprising that FCS has advance enough to actually just make it so you just push buttons
You need to realize that not all mechanics work the same across different modes.
SB could have the “skillful” LRF, while other two modes could remain as is.
I don’t know what so hard to understand here.
its only about rangefinder and it does work the same …
Do you genuinely hate people wanting to progress the grind while having fun in their own way at the same time?
But now it wouldn’t as only SB would be getting it.
Whats the point of adding it only to SB … its not very popular gamemode
Because not all modes need that to be a thing ?
I bet you and people alike would play SB only as it’s the most realistic and skillful mode.
The reason SB is not popular is because you literally cannot play it.
“I wanna play my conqueror, let me boot up SB…”
Not today.
And I need an external website to know this, if I tried in-game I’d be confused why I cannot queue for ground SB and give up and not check again.
It’s surely one of the reasons, but I think the average WT player doesn’t like the complexity that comes with SB and they’ll rather play GRB.
The problem is, SB isn’t realistic enough so the crowd that enjoys ultra-realistic combat might look elsewhere.
I think there’s a bit of a misconception here about who actually benefits from the rangefinder and the idea of skill.
Firstly, the experienced players will aim their shots manually in a fight, as the delay in waiting for the LRF will get you killed. Generally speaking the experienced players are instinctively generating firing solutions often before they are in position to shoot/have clear line of site.
Laser rangefinders mostly come into play in duels at long ranges where combatants have good cover and generally speaking reflexes are less important to time as the players engaged are changing their distance relative to one another.
Personally, I will only use the LRF when the target I’m shooting at is either distracted or unaware of my position which means I have a second or two carefully line up a shot.
In roundabout way you’re not wrong in saying that the LRF requires no skill as the players who rely on it too heavily are at a disadvantage however the people who people who are skilled don’t use the LRF the way you describe anyway.
They did it without line up rotations a while back and it was far easier to get a game with that than the alternatives.
