The only “but” in there and I dont beleive its mallicious in anyway (at least I hope it isnt) more than a few people have reported missiles phasing through the Mi-28NM. Brimstones especially.
Which might contribute to the feeling that the Mi-28NM is stronger than the AH-64E
I think that’s been a general problem with a lot of stuff. Someone posted a BUK missile literally touching an F-16 and phasing into but never triggering
I had a game the only good game for me in the Mi-28nm so far, where I had to force the enemy to kill my T-90M because the all kept shooting the middle of the UFP. And I spawned in the helo, I scored 6 kills from it, granted I target spaa first, and a couple almost got me.
Air already goes to 14.3, that should be the same for ground. That’s a lot of extra BR steps and could absolutely help decompress across the board.
Gaijin really needs to make air BR’s different when used in ground battles. Just like how vehicles have different BR’s between arcade/realistic/sim. Tons of CAS could easily go up 0.3 or 0.7 when taken in ground battles.
Also, just because a vehicle is top of the tree shouldn’t mean it instantly goes to the max BR. Really hurts minor nations. These things need to be balanced around capability.
I have heard a lot of people say the HSTV-L is better than the 2S38 but is it really 1.7 BR better? I feel like the HSTV-L is generally ok where it is but the 2S38 needs to move up. However I haven’t played either vehicle so… I have play lots againts the 2S38 though!
the only advantage the HSTVL has against the 2S38 is the calibre, the 75 can create slightly more spall.
the 2S38 has the same pen, double the firerate, an actual ammo capacity, and somehow better protection
i feel like the 2S38 is at bare MINIMUM worthy of 11.3
the gun is lower on the HSTVL than the 2s38? the 2s38 literally can show its gun and not its hull, it can hull down
fun fact, the 2S38 has a higher power to weight ratio than the HSTVL, so this point is a lie
ive enver had an instance where you need to look 17 degrees over a hill, and even then you dont need to angle hull down when you have an uncrewed turret
2S38:
Fire-rate of 120 rpm
57mm canon
148 round ammo capacity
Good thermals
Decent mobilty
Poor(ish) survivability
Tall profile
HSTV-L
Fire-rate of 60 rpm
75mm canon
26 round ammo capacity
Poor thermals
Really good mobility
On certain terrain the survivability is very high thanks to superb gun depression
Low profile
what alot of people tend to forget is since the 2s38s crew is all so far in the front of the vehicle, ive had instances where rounds literally spall behind the crew, and it can be decievingly survivable
nevertheless i completely agree, the HSTVL is better than the 2S38, but by like barely even a .3 or .7 margin, i could even argue theyre on par with one another due to the abysmal 28 ammo capacity
