Increase in price for new premium equipment

I tried to do a bunch of math to quickly come up with a formula for it and it didn’t go great, numbers were weird, but I still absolutely think that they should be priced as a function of HDI index and median disposable income.

still, doesnt matter… 50 bucks is Way too much for a single vehicle… You can get entire DLC or games for that. 70 or 70+ is beyond absurd for ONE vehicle, out of a thousand

I mean im fine with Gaijin copy-pasting good aircrafts to premiums to ease up the grind like F4S, Mig23, Mirage F1 etc. but if something like tigershark stays a premium without a TT variants, and only way of getting it is through a microtransaction is just stupid. Even if it costed half the price at a sale I would waste 37,5€ only on a dozen of battles because I would get bored of it.

Edit: And not to mention 16v16 clusterfuck thats destroying 11.7+ lobbies

dont use the word conniption, you dont know what it means… Its beyond absurd for them to charge this much for a single vehicle. And its not a matter of having no money or anything like that… its the principle.

If people don’t buy it, prices will be less. But if they do, the price is right.

This is objectively false.

Just checked how much it would be if I (a Canadian) were to buy it.

75 euros for something that tomorrow can be modified without explanation. 75 euros for playing in the Beta part of the game where the games are of worse quality because they are full of premiun tanks of account level 15.

For me the top tier lacks added value.

That’s the hilarious thing about all this. Imagine new players being launched right into BVR combat?

They’re gonna be very disappointed when they can barely get off the runway before being missiled to oblivion. What a way to waste $75…

But I don’t want premium, titles, skins and GE, sell kits without these things for a lower price then no one will have a problem, and those who want to pay for stickers etc $75

In my country (Poland) the average is 700-750 euros per month, in my country this vehicle costs 325 zl, I wonder if anyone would be able to pay 160 euros for a premium vehicle, there would probably be crying from American players, war thunder needs regional prices.

There is no chance that the price will go down, because it is an online store, they do not have anything in stock and it does not take up space for them.

That is exactly the chance why it CAN go down. There is no need to take less if the skies are filled with it.

Well it would if people would sit on their MFin’ hands and make the demand line not meet the price line where Gaijin thinks/wants it too.
Right now they can charge these ridiculous prices because the price is “inelastic” because the wallet warriors and trust fund kids don’t care how much the new shiney costs. And since a minority of players buy, they drive that bus to the Moon.

I dont see an issue with paying 75 dollars for a vehicle once in a while. I enjoy warthunder its the only game I play

Economy’s of Scale are not something Gaijin seems to understand.

definitely not.

Most people are cheap, and even spiteful… if they see something that is Ridiculously over priced they wont ever buy it… on principle… and it makes them dislike or even leave the game too. 20 bucks for a vehicle is already pretty expensive… there are Hundreds of vehicles in the game, 50 is absurd and 70+ is downright insulting and asinine.

the prices of premiums are out of hand. 80 dollars for the premium hornet? Thats the price of the DCS f18 module which isn’t even a fair comparison to war thunder lol

you dont see an issue paying prices that the highest of quality games charge for their modules for a game thats about as consistent as a blind marksman?

If you can’t afford it, it’s not for you.

They have marketing teams that work on this stuff. They price it like this so that the wealthy whales will pay full price to get it first and when it goes to 50% off, many people will buy it thinking it’s a “good deal” even though you’re paying what used to be full price for a premium a few years ago. If you don’t like it, the best thing you can do is not buy it because complaining about the price means nothing if they still meet their sales goals either way.

If they can make money selling at this price without you, then unfortunately the fact is that you aren’t the kind of person they’re marketing this product for in the first place. They don’t want poor people to have it because it make people with the money to buy it feel more special. You’ll see plenty of people who spend all this money for digital planes and tanks talk about how good their job is etc. that lets them treat an $80 plane like it’s a pittance and that’s how you know who they’re milking with an item like this.
