Increase BR and BR gap

Why don’t just increase the BR bracket to 16.0 - 17.0? I just realised the current method is impossible to balance the game, for example you can’t really balance Leopard 1 and Type 74c in current BR bracket, Type 74 can’t go to 8.7 and Leopard 1 can’t go to 7.7 due to their performance. So, instead of balancing at current BR bracket why don’t just dratically increase the BR bracket and formed a gap between those BR? And the significant change of this action is instead of 1 “top tier” become multiple. For example, Leopard 1 stay at 8.0 but Type 74 go to 9.0/9.3 , it won’t change the exprience of Type 74 but also increase the exprience of Leopard 1. This isn’t for Leopard 1 or ground only but also air, this kind of gap can prevent WWII jet facing cold war jet or early subsonic jet facing supersonic jet and etc.

Two different solutions come to mind.

  1. Remove the 0.3/0.7 system and just space using whole numbers,
    OR
  2. Dynamic BRs based upon which modifications you have researched.

I don’t think the first method will help, but the second method is quite great but the problems is where to draw this line?

First method would result in BRs possibly up to 23 or so,
Second method would take vehicle capability and give it a max BR based upon spaded status and a minimum BR based upon stock status.
Specific modifications would increase BR as they are researched AND equipped.

There should also be a one BR gap between old era and new era vehicles

2 is too open to abuse. Players will just take the maximum amount of mods before increasing in BR.

Just go up to 13.3 like air. People already see 12.7 aircraft in ground RB in what’s supposed to be an 11.7 top tier game. Really disadvantages ground only players that they’re always at bottom tier even after grinding out an entire tree.

I think just making the max BR 14.0 would go a long way.

Those mods won’t be the ones that increase their combat capability hence it’ll be fine imo

Think 0.7 BR windows would likely be most impactful.

It’d remove situations where a vehicle completely stomps full downtiers, but is incredibly useless in a full uptier. It’d also help isolate missile slingers from gunfighters in the korean era.

Everything increases combat capability. Just different aspects of it. Literally the only mods you could claim doesn’t are parts, FPE, and crew replenishment.

Capability BR would open the door for some abuse though. What would stop someone from removing modules that will drop the BR while keeping other modules like stronger amunition to artificially make it a powerhouse?

And by how much would the BR be lowered?

If I remove NVD/TVD, LRF, and DM63 on a leopard 2A7, does it now become an 11.0 tank? Could I do the same to get an 8.3 XM-1?

That wouldn’t work unless it is heavily restricted, and normal decompression is the best solution.

So your response is a drastic overplay on the concept… well played. /s

We dont know how much it would be lowered because it was an idea concept, but even gong from X.7 to X.3 would be ample room for abuse on some vehicles depending on their original BR and the capabilities they would have while abusing the system.

there are things that dont have much of an effect such as weight or transmission or engine etc. these are mobility enhancers which, while do have a role, it is not as big as shall we say ammo or TVD or LRF etc

they all increase or decrease BR, hence there would be no way to bypass this

the system of course wont allow for drastic BR increases or decreases unless logically sound,
imo if you remove the above mentioned modules from the 2A7, it would become around 11.3.

lets not forget, the strv 122B+ used to be 11.7 with a better armour profile than the 2A7V currently has.
so a 11.3 2a7v without the modules that make it 12.0 wouldnt be too unheard of. besides, it already faces 11.3 regularly cuz of matchmaking
