Ki-67 Hiryū
飛龍
After a very productive thread has partially helped the Ki-102 otsu from its gimped state, it’s time to make a similar thread for the beautiful Ki-67s in War Thunder. They are not bad bombers, having decent defensive weaponry and performance. However, several issues are holding them back.
-
Turrets do not work as intended. I cannot find the original thread detailing it (lost on the old forum), but the turrets have to fully rotate before firing at something on the other axis. This makes no sense since it’s supposed to work like a pin and slot.

Ki-67 should be able to carry the Type 91 mod. 7 torpedoes.

Ki-67s are missing external bomb racks on the wings
Good luck to all!

The Mitsubishi Ki-67 is a powerful bomber (no wonder the Americans respected it), but it lacks bomb armament.
- Additionally, the Ki-67-Ib in the game model has an H6 radar, but the game does not include it in the gameplay. This radar could detect planes and ships.
- Ki-67 aircraft can carry Ke-Go homing bombs (1 x Ke-Go or 3 x Ke-Go) or the I-Go 1 ko anti-ship missile (1 x I-Go 1 ko). It would be great to add this weaponry to this plane.

Please remember to not use Red/Scarlet as a colour to make your posts stand out. It is only available to staff members, but any other color will do (I’ve edited your post with blue but feel free to change it).

The Ki-109, a derivative of the Ki-67, also has serious problems.
- The plane in the game has two pilots, which is because in the place of the second pilot there was access to a Type 88 cannon.
- In the game, the 75mm Type 88 gun only has two unspecified AP and HE shells. This gun used Type 90 fragmentation shells in three different versions and Type 94, and was also capable of firing AP-HE Type 90, Type 1 and AP Type 4 shells. The gun was also compatible with other 75 mm caliber shells, for example from a field gun. Type 90 (Ho-Ni, Chi-Nu gun)

Last I checked several Japanese bombers aren’t able to hit the nominal top speeds at specified altitudes, even with minimum fuel and slight dives.
So that would be a good start
Even then its also a pain in the arse to actually fire the gun due to the way the incomplete cockpit was modelled.

The color still too closely resembles red… Best that i can let you use will be orange (I’ll change it now).

Just use one of these 2
Neither can be claimed to be red nor even resemble red.

I’ve already asked seniors and the best that he can get is the orange that I’ve edited myself. Those two cannot be used.
Are we actually going to talk about the Ki-67 or what T_T
What you’re telling me is the Forum devs never bothered to add proper coding for an RGB Color Model. That’s just sad honestly. Well have a good one then, don’t know why your replying to me.
This is a document discovered by @skultew1234, and it is a source about the Ki-67 and Ki-109. I have quickly read through the tests of the Ki-109 included in this document, and there seem to be several differences from the game. I would like to look into it more closely and submit a bug report.
- The cockpit layout is incorrect. The left-side copilot seat has been removed, and space is needed for the loader and magazine of the 75 mm gun.
- The bomb load is missing. The Ki-109 is capable of dive bombing.
- The sight is incorrect. It should be equipped with a telescopic sight of 2x or 4x magnification, not a reflector sight.
- Bulletproof glass for the pilot is missing. The bulletproof glass has not been removed.
