Imagine losing after a 10-kill clutch because some 15lv decided to camp the airfield

You could also just have tried to win the game, duh.

By destroying ground targets
And just YouTube how to evade runway AA. It’s better to see it than read it

how did that guy die twice haha???

Get “shot down” RTB, rearm, take-off, get shot down again.
F-86s for example are known for being able to do that as sheering a wing counts them as ded.

I don’t blame you. You should never be forced to shoot bots to win a game.

You cannot consistently dodge them, especially on flat maps.

Enemy can do the exact same thing. AF camping is never defendable or justifiable.

Flat map
good luck.

Should not have to PvE/shoot bots to win games.

Still.

When people are trying to teach a real ACE player how to kill tickets, and do not realize that someone abuses the game mechanisms

I genuinly could not find one material about it on youtube lmao

He outplayed you, plain and simple. In these moments players can realize that a single person both can and cannot win a battle, but mostly the latter.

This topic explain why old airfield AA(pre-red skies updates) should back for 1.0 to 9.0BR.

Also 25mins timer is not enough.

you clearly explained the cruelty of war that gaijin had put so much effort to demonstrate. Now i see things clearly. Thank you!

Nice score.

Comprehensible from his pov.

A guy you describe as “some lvl 15” with 4 days of fighter experience facing a guy like you with 130 days of fighter experience without really knowing where you are has not much options.

From my pov you simply activated blind hunt one or 2 minutes too early - meaning that he had not extended far enough from the airfield.

He left the bubble to attack you - and technically seen he won the game as his 9 ground kills created the ticket advantage.

The Meteor was a rookie and got damaged whilst flying afk - messed up his landing (tail broke off) leading to kill #1 but he was able to repair. The 2nd kill was a plain energy trap.

a guy with so little experience but already mastered the very peak and secret technique behind AirRB. i am amazed.

It’s PvP game so… I guess ppl should be allowed to choose not to die to an enemy.

So guys, stick to win conditions and activity settings

Even 4 min are enough to equal tickets. Split your cannons. One 37mm is enough for one small ground target.

If I would be in your situation the second it’s 1vs1, I would fly one time with speed over ground targets, killing as many as I can, climb and wait several minutes. If he camps for ticket win, he has to chase, if not, second run on targets.
This map is perfect for this tactic because all ground targets are in perfect line.

This is exactly why airfield AA should be removed.

You are not entitled to a free kill like that.

The real solution is for OP to learn how to lower tickets (literally kill 10 ground targets, its very easy), while also only having AA active when someone is landed on the airfield.

tbh I dont know since when players treated AirRB as a team based PVP competitive game and cared about winning lol.

No, not removed. Just nerf the instant hitscan and make it physical projectiles that can collide with terrain and have travel time.

I’d personally give it the same accuracy as say aircraft carriers in air sim EC for propeller tier battles. You CAN outplay it, but it pretty much saturates the skies with tracers so you must jink and fly fast and not loiter. It can and will still kill you if you aren’t careful. Alternatively, give it gepard from sim EC arrows’ AAA code - it’s almost harmless for your first pass, then rapidly turns into a terminator if you dare loiter (but if you’re fast enough - especially in terms of relative angular velocity - you can get a gun/rocket strafe in or a bomb)

unless its low tier AAA

This would allow just free kills - the same guys camping currently their own airfield would camp above your airfield. We had this until 2019 when there was no hitscan light aaa on airfields.

Even admitting that the old axis vs allies setup up made this rather rare - if you observe matches at prop BRs today you see basically in every match low skill players scoring kills vs players with even lower skill because they think landing on unprotected forward airfields would be a smart idea.

100% correct.

I am quite sure that the OP is fully aware of how the ticket system works 😉

There is no real solution - as from gaijin’s perspective there is no problem. If they would think that there would be a problem they would have solved it years ago.

Technically seen gaijin benefits from 2 perspectives:

  1. Every kill by af aaa hampers the progress of the killed player - less SL due to repair cost, less RP due to shorter game time.
  2. The sole existence of af aaa lures PvE players in a PvP dominated game mode like Air RB by creating the illusion that all they have to do in a match is to bomb a base and rtb like Usain Bolt.

Without this false sense of security there would be an outcry - af aaa prevents the necessity to learn. If your target audience has neither the passion nor the patience to learn & improve it makes no sense to enforce this process as you would discourage them to spend (more or further) money.
