Ikv 91 has both poor armour and mobility
(both max speed and power/weight ratio) for it’s br
Xm 800t is 7.7 btw
So main topic for a discussions is a laser - gun with 400m heat shell. So PZh is still at 7.7 with more powerful he shells and its recharge time its even faster.
So in my opinion the most apropriate br for this tank is 7.3 like ru.251 because of laser gun or lower

It gets a good gun, decent mobility, LRF and scouting. Yes there’s no armour, but it’s a ratty light tank that lolpens anything at it’s BR.

I mean its br is okay if vechiles i meantioned will have higher br. But for some reason its br is higher
IKV has -10 gun depression and laserrange finder plus heat its quite good, in my opinion tanks like pzh 2000 and vidar are to low in comparison because a he that can kill everything plus a laser rangefinder +(Termal on Vidar) is quite op against slow tanks with slow ammo and without laserrangefinder

And we have tank with a higher dpm PZh on even LOWER br.

Back when Ikv-91 was 7.7 it was just a broken spot, when 7.7 actually were a downtier worm hole, you could easily shred Tiger IIs, T34s and IS-2s from any distance with no problem, it was a easy nuke machine, if you want to play this same vehicle in a lower BR, get the ZTS63, it has laser rangefinder, HEAT FS that deals good damage for the caliber and APDS FS, at 7.7.
7.7 or 8.0 is fine, and I see no reason for it to go lower.

Aml has 7.7 but this is not aml, it’s kinda three amls togetheter, and size matters, so we cant say that’s 1 br step from 7.7.
I guess you’re an arcade player as its 8.0 for realistic, also cant check as my PC blew its brains out a couple days ago.
while I don’t disagree that its not an incredible vehicle, I did a milsim battle in a scimitar and kicked the hell out of them I think its really well balanced all things given.
Its shell will pen everything at its BR
It has a LRF at a BR where the balanced vehicles don’t so ignore pzh2000 and vidar (its far lower in arcade to counteract the loss of need for TLS systems)
Its pretty mobile, only the fox and XM800t are the common vehicles which beat it out in its BR range
No armour is the best armour in WT as you can have APHE not fuse on you if lucky
Yes the PZH2000 is extremely under BR compare it to the scimitar as a close counterpart

Comparing the Ikv-91 to the M-51 Super Sherman and the M109 as a whole is odd to be honest, in one hand you have a very mobile platform, in other hand you have a sluggish platform based on a WW2 vehicle and a paper-thin bunker.
Ikv-91 at 8.0 doesn’t struggles at all, the fact that it was at 7.7 for so long is clear that Gaijin didn’t give it proper attention, just wait until people abuse with the ZTS63 and it going to 8.0 right after, I would enter a more technical topic regarding the difference between the Ikv-91’s slpsgr m/72 HEAT and the M-51 Super Sherman OCC 105 F1 HEAT but you can easily find more looking for “Octol explosive” and “Composition B explosive”,
It was ever been easy, Swedish gameplay past 6.7 is the most easy grind you’ll find.
Because one has to rely on the mobility to destroy vehicles, the Ru 251 has to directly engage targets, it’s a scouting vehicle after all, the Ikv 91 is the complete opposite, is a infantry support cannon, it has laser rangefinder, doesn’t need to be a point blank to easily knock out the, whatever is, the target.

IKV-91 has a Laser Rangefinder, which none of those other tanks do.
That is a giant benefit by itself to be honest.
None of the other lower BR tanks mentioned have that, despite being otherwise similar in performance.

Laser rangefinder and 8.0 is fine with a big lineup. You’re just a skill issue by your personnal records in the game. Before to want some Battlerating change, get better.

M109 is good were it is because of no amor, no LRFd and long reload, partly the same for M51 ru 251 is also quite good were it is because fast but no amor and no rangefinder Pzh is to low because HE gun with rangefinder and IKV is also good were it is at the moment he shouldnt be lower. You have also to keep in mind what enemys he could face if he is hightier, if he woud be 7.7 he could meet 6.7 so IS 2 44, T34 etc and there he would overperform
I think 7.7 is fine. The issue is the IKV is extremely strong in long-ranged maps, but 90% of maps are cqc slugfests. So you’re basically just a worse object 906 on most maps.

Its fine at 8.0 tbf the best 8.0 imo is probably the love child of the leo 1 and ikv being the OF 40, composite armor, leopard gun and ikv LRF. An actual menace
