IFVs for top tier minor nations

Idk the mk3 and 4 cv-90s would be great and fun

Gaijin put too much time in top MBTs, every tech tree need IFVs or other light vehicles in high ranks.

Pretty much every single 10.0 IFV in-game has access to great ATGMs, whether it be some of the most potent TOW-2s, 9M133s, RB 56s, QN502s, or Spikes.
10.0 is one of the highest caps for IFVs even with modern ATGMs.

but there are already IFVs over 10.0, though they do not perform good. I’m sure things like Kurganets-25 can even go higher.

That’s is exactly what is missing at 11.7, light tanks/IFVs to scout. You play tanks that should be well connected and transmite information between them all the time, meanwhile the minimap is dead compared to 10.0 and below.

If you’re so lucky to have a 10.0 IFV

Event vehicle

There is arguably 1 “major” nation (10 vehicles per tier) without a 10.0 IFV, maybe 2 if you count Israel as major… Which it really isn’t.

It’s 2/3 the price of a premium, half the price of its 9.3-11.0 event counterparts, and was only listed for the purposes of comparing missile-carrying 10.0s.

The topic of this thread is minor nations.

The major nations are US / Germany / Russia.

Every other nation is a minor nation irrelevant of real world vehicle availability / power. It’s how Gaijin treats them ingame. Sweden is the only minor nation which has been given enough support to outclass one of the big 3, that being Germany. They used to not have effective CAS, now they have the Gripen.

War Thunder is a free to play game. If the vehicle is not accessible in the tech tree it is not relevant to nation strength.

The major nations are whatever are the most expansive or effective. Sweden is both.

Woah, free to play vehicle in a free to play game? Almost as if playing the game freely got you this vehicle!

Sweden in its current state can be considered a major nation. It was originally a minor nation.

Yes, I got the vehicle because I played the event. That’s a time limited event. A new player who played after the event does not have access to this vehicle. It is irrelevant for nation balance. You can’t restrict the only top tier IFV in a nation’s tree behind premium / event. Even as a squadron vehicle it would be inane.

Tech trees need to support all possible classes of vehicles. Minor nations don’t like IFVs because there are none to add, they lack IFVs because Gaijin has refused to model them.

The British AJAX, the EBRC for France, the ZBD-04 for China, the Namer for Israel. They’re missing these vehicles for no reason other than Gaijin’s failure to add them.

So it isn’t a minor nation. Got it.

A new player playing now can’t get the Po-2, yet it still irrefutably exists and having it entirely by F2P means is entirely possible. Just because you cannot get it instantly at any current time does not mean it isn’t F2P.
I don’t see them locking the only one away, they’ve acknowledged requests for the ZBL on 2 occasions that I can think of.

Mind naming me one that they have refused to model?

Do you have some fixation you wish to discuss in detail?

It’s universally understood the big 3 are “major” nations while every other nation is “minor”. Do you have an issue with this classification that you wish to elaborate on?

Event vehicles and premium vehicles are not researchable. This is basic game knowledge I do not understand your confusion.

I listed four in my comment I don’t know why you deleted the reference to them.

No, it’s the fact that you’re adamant that there are only 3 major nations, yet you immediately turn back on that and say “well… maybe this isn’t”. It’s clear you haven’t thought clearly about which nations you consider “major”, and you clearly don’t seem to have a set parameter for them as you change your mind about it on a whim.

No, it isn’t? Germany is far from major both IRL and in-game, with Sweden having better versions of its vehicles in almost every single way.
Hell, IRL both Sweden and Israel have been ahead of Germany in arms production since the late '90s.

This is the classification of nations the community has used to discuss the nations in War Thunder.

What players want is for every nation ingame to be a “major” nation. Gaijin isn’t going to treat every nation the same though as not every nation will be similar popularity wise.

War Thunder isn’t limited to one era.

And they were entirely accessible when they were introduced. Again, you could have acquired it entirely through a F2P fashion, and even now you can still acquire them without putting any money into the market.

Deleted the reference to what?

And sure, let me address them.

The AJAX has already been passed to developers Q4 of last year.
The EBRC has not been addressed at all.
There isn’t even a general topic about the ZBD-04, let alone more than 4 or so people that I see that support the introduction of this, as the ZBL exists and trumps it in almost every way.
The only mention of the Namer has been in roundups, and has not been addressed by anyone either.

Not ingame.

Not ingame.

Not ingame.

Still not ingame.

This framing is illogical and I will not give it legitimacy by discussing it.

The community is one of the most contradictory and vindictive sources of opinion in any game. I’m sure using their arbitrary decisions as truth is a great idea.

They’ve already shown that they’re willing to, though? When adding vehicles all around, they made considerations as to what other nations will be affected by it, or if the vehicle is added to multiple nations, how to make both vehicles peers that don’t have a direct advantage over each other.
This was a glaring issue with the F-16A and Tornado, especially when they were being balanced for use in Italy or China. In the case of Italy, they had to cherrypick a one-off modernization of an aircraft just to consider its addition, and for China, they… Had to add a Taiwanese aircraft.

Nobody said it was.

France, Israel, China, Britain all lack high tier tech tree IFVs

Japan and Italy both lacked high tier SPAA options until the Type 81 (C) was added, although that still leaves Italy without an effective high tier SPAA.

No, Gaijin has not shown that they are willing to focus development equally across every nation. The issue isn’t even that they “should”, some nations are just more popular. It is a serious oversight that these nations all lack a critical component of top tier line ups and it needs to be rectified.
