I can say now that open-tops can’t be played much as even 1.0 planes can deal with them.

You will be, in combined mode that will still be there.

They didn’t. Gaijin CEO said in one of the Q&As that game is not about historical accuracy but vehicles itself. Meaning game is not tied to IRL. Thats why there are numerous prototypes or even blueprint onyl vehicles in the game making game some sort of fantasy. So TO is not more fantasy concept than game already is.

Also in history of all armored combat there were only 2 recorded situations where armored vehicles went into urban areas without infantry support. In WWII when Germany invaded Poland and in Chechnia when Russia attacked Grozny. Both situations were utter failure. Germany after that situation never went into urban area without infantry support. So tank combat in urban areas presented in WT is also some sort of fantasy concept.

Yeah i noticed…unfortunate,it shows me hitting the AH-1G with 2 APDS shots then a HIND trying to get on top of me but someone managed to not die on impact with an HEAT shells
And in between these 2 a random plane i killed with the 30mm of the Turm 3

The issues wont be solved,as i stated to someone else,fix the issues and THEN you get the mode,its unplayable with or without CAS so whatever youre asking its just not even close to be a priority

The devs base themself on actual photos and documents when making a vehicle,if you documents and photos of a MBT that shots lasers making both MBTs and SPAAs outdated,you can share it and one day Gaijin will implement it for sure

Also they were not removed for players which still have them.

That is half true. Gaijin forbade puting up documents for modern assets because those are still secret documents. So modern stuff is made based on public data which is very scarse.

since there are troop transport vehicles they can put them in that context

If they can implement a missile just from a fake photo,they could adjust an already existing tank to work properly based on stories and videos of those but nope

Sure they can, thats why forum and bug report section is full of wrong armor plates for modern vehicles which they cannot fix because the proof is in the classified documents.

But all vehicles aside, WT is still somewhat fantasy game because its missing key elements for WT to be similar to RL.

Yes, thats right. Its not only Abrams. Other western vehicles are affected too.

It is somewhat fantasy because there is no command structure, unless you think IRL tanks just roam around without any command.
It is somewhat fantasy due to maps where tanks would never fight without infantry support.
And it somewhat fantasy because in all mankind history it never happened that some vehicle captured some objective. Helped capturing objective, yes, but capturing no. Only infantry ever captured objectives.

WT is arcade shooter with different difficulty settings (AB, RB, SB).

Because a Maus would see cold war era vehicles in real life, right?

Or the T-34 series driver’s hatch would reliably bounce an 8.8cm PzGr.

Or more extreme examples like WW2 germany and the US fighting britain and Italy on the opposing team.

Again purpose of TO is not to change anything in tank vs. tank combat but remove CAS vs. tank combat. Thats the only purpose.

Players which are not interested in that situation wont have to play that game mode but continue to play RB GF.

Womp womp,they tried already to implement IRL based gamemode and it failed miserably

Most of Sweden would face top tier Abrams
Most of Japan would face impossible to pen American vehicles
Italy its Italy
France tanks would face 7.0 most probably (ARL tank btw)
Israel should face only T54s and 55s

And so on,plenty of reasons that a mode IRL based year would completely suck,stop using the MAUS as an excuse,there are many that would make you understand it wouldnt be a good idea

Its not about priority here. Its just game mode where there is no air assets. Removing air assets is easy and everything else stays the same.

Its just to show how stupid will still be a TO mode,cry about all you want,i get killed more from the bullshit this games pulls than CAS

remember that most of russian mbts have badly modeled fuel tanks which some fucking how put like 99999 mm of armor making it impossible to pen in some cases

Why it shouldn’t be asked for? Players can ask for anything regardless the state game is.

Again removing air assets is easy.

Also lots of clips you shown is more about poor netcode and not only volumetric. I have tons of training missions for ground vehicles and that stuff just doesn’t happen locally, only over the internet.
