If you could, how would you re-balance CAS in Ground Battles?

Its not about the performance of the vehicle but about what youre carrying

What I say is what can happen in game.

Yes, but something like an F4U-1A with a single 1,000 bomb should cost more than say an SBD-3 with a single 1,000 bomb.

with a 8.3 SPAA its highly impossible but sure,i do understand FaF issue for Helies
I stated a solution before idk if you say it

We can test it out tommorow if You want.

ClassyGIF

So did anyone learn to use a SPAA properly over time ooooooor they still complaining CAS op/refusing to learn to play them? lol

Way to add something useful to the discussion genius.

low reward? killing someone with impunity is low reward?
i dont know why i keep replying to your posts, youre posting directly from a psych ward

and also move planes further.
but this still doesnt fix the core issue of CAS being unfair to ground players

crazy that a literal SPAA main says this to players who actually play GRB

Its a start tho, that would solve FaF and rearm before the missiles even hit

9.3 is when SPAA (Chi PG04A, Fre Santal, Jap T93, Israel Machbet, and USSR 23-4M) get the first heat seekers. A couple also have short range 20/23mm platforms. AC start to get RWR at this level too. The only advantage SPAA has here is for those players that don’t use their radar and try to lock via the heat seeker with a rear aspect shot. That is of course assuming the pilot isn’t paying attention because these missiles aren’t that reliable…low alt tactics or hard turns shake them.

Since your weapons are entirely short range, the minute you start locking up AC with radar you’ll likely get smoked by an AC with RWR (this is certainly the case if you are uptiered).

So not the advantage you suggest. Pilots can avoid the launch in the first place by simply staying low(which is common), or shake it after the fact by, well, turning. Moreover the effectiveness of the SPAA missile attack usually requires that you do not use all the tools available to you, whereas the AC most definitely has its full suite at its disposal.

I think the introduction of these first heat seekers is far from the advantage you claim. Rather, it is a miniscule step to chip away the significant imbalance AC holds in its favor.

Early SAMs are far too powerful rn. It’s to the point that SPAA is near unplayable cause no1 bothers spawning planes.

Nope

Just because you and you in particular are somehow bad at using FnF weapons doesn’t mean they’re bad.

Didn’t say they were bad. I said they were not as OP as was claimed, and did not offset the advantage held by AC. That does not = “bad”

Personally, I’d consider an SPAA that can completely shut down the airspace even in a full uptier to be op. But what do I know? I’m just a noob with “bad” stats in all my SPAA. (2.0 K/D v.s air in LAV-AD and 7.0 if you count only air deaths)

That’s ok, although almost a full br above what we were talking about, it’s not that bad. Pretty good actually, and even better you got to tell us about your l33t skillz. I know I’m feeling pretty warm and fuzzy about it, so all good.

What would be “bad” is folks that flag posts to mods for deletion when said post shows how incorrect their previous post was. Fortunately that’s not how you roll…

Actually, I’m pretty bad. My aiming skills are awful (hence why I play WT instead of FPS’s). I also suck at just general situational awareness and positional awareness which leads me to getting killed to blatantly obvious enemies.

Look at my M4 or my M18 stats. The M4 is one of the best tanks in Warthunder and I don’t even have a half decent K/D in it. The only vehicles that my stats are good in are the wildly OP vehicles like Kv-7, VK 3002, and above all else, SPAA. The fact that the LAV-AD doesn’t require any aiming (lead indicator and FnF missiles) or any positioning skills outside of view of sky without view of tanks is the sole reason my K/D is good in it.

BF 109 K and it would rip its wings on that speed and long before it even tho its pretty decent plane. Why I said above is when i literally got gunned out from sky way too easy and way too far. It was prolly M163 US AA with radar and minigun. Now im not familiar with us ground forces but it kinda tilted me to face radar traced minigun with ww2 slow shit.

Those gepards are pretty op when ppl have aimbot on it and pilot snipe u from kilometers away…

I hope that You have a way to show how many times You have died to air that is not „trust me bro”

Edit: flagging that? Really? That is just a question.
