I see CAS fans say that everyone would just move to the TO mode and leave GRB dead, but doesn’t that mean that most players hate the way CAS is implemented?
Oh, now i get it, and yes, it does mean.
Try it on a console. You can’t even do a loop. Take the instructor off and half the controls vanish. Try to set it up and the plane is wobbly mess. How much easier the game must be on PC.
why are you playing without the instructor? Everyone and their mother plays with mouse aim, instructor on
Ah yes, all CAS is OP, and I have no idea how to deal with it:
I don’t use a mouse I use a controller. With the instructor on. Most Youtube “experts” tell you to lose the instructor to gain full control and reconfigure the controls to counter. Desode was the main one. It is damn time consuming, and I never got it sorted.
I can’t pull a loop or a stall turn on console with the instructor on even though I can in real life. So yes, I consider the flying in the ULQ video to be beyond what I can do on Xbox X.
I also think some of the veterans assume the bulk of the player base are as good as they are. Easy to forget what it was like as a rookie or even an intimidate player.
We then have the set up various players are using. Old pc on a 15-inch monitor or 5k PC with 3 monitors?
My point is it’s not equal in that respect and what may seem laughably easy for some is not for others so don’t be surprised when the world does not follow you as you would like them to.
Using CAS may be the chosen path for a good game for some while it may not be for others. I think that choice option is very much what Gaijin aim for. I might also suggest that CAS can hide a broken game possibly.
By coincidence, wouldn’t that guy crash anyways?
Not necessarily, was space to pull up after his strafe, but a 120mm shell does tend to affect an aircrafts ability to pull up
Could you link the server replay?
Scratch taht, it was 3 months ago.
yeah, was ages ago, though one of my rare games in the Challenger 2 where it’s armour actually worked and I survived more than 1 hit (I must have been hacking)
Anyway, could you give me a tank name that can get 5+ kills in a few seconds without using arty, or some chain reaction ammo detonation?
Because i can give you plenty of plane names that can do it.
Falcon… Seen it happen. Saw one guy charge into a cap point and wipe out half the enemy team. Was actually hilarious to watch the kill feed
How often can it do it?
Can it do it against armored tanks?
In downtier and equal tier yeah, quite easily, especially if attacking from the side or rear. Uptiers it struggles a little. Also depends on what its facing. Struggles to pen Stalinium
Looks like a lot of dependencies.
And let’s just grant you, taht it can do it regularly.
it is a single vehicle.
While CAS can do it regaularly at basically all BRs
Some Air RB pilots (even on console) prefer the increase of agility and turn performance of flying with joystick with at least SFC (not FR) and, ofc, instructor off instead of mouse aim. The trade off is that it is much harder to get guns on target as the artificial stability increase of mouse aim is absent.
Unfortunately the set-up of Air RB makes pure 1 vs 1 turn fights (in which the joystick shines the most) rather rare, so yes, most pilots use mouse aim and the instructor; even my preferred yt cc.
The downside of not using mouse aim is the abysmal low accuracy in headons (so you have to avoid them) - and there is no point and click like with mouse aim. So using a joystick in Ground RB to kill tanks is actually counterproductive.
as an option, so that the crew of the anti-aircraft gun could see constantly. So that the small red arrow would be large, noticeable and constantly point to the appearing aircraft.
It’s still not a blind tank from which you can’t see anything.
This idea has been brought up a lot and I think, there is nobody who would have an issue with that.
“Pure tankers” would get their TO matches depending on the TO-player saturation in the queue and combined would go on as usual. This could also provide more insight into the real popularity of TO, both for the TO players and for Gaijin.
