If you could, how would you re-balance CAS in Ground Battles?

If I get around to it, sure.

Looking at the X ray viewer in game, it seems they’ve changed the modeling in the years since (possibly due to volumetric). It’s still possible to wound the Tiger IIs with the 40mm now via the turret ring–but it’s clearly trickier than it used to be.

Quick question:

You remember how planes works in arcade tanks, right? “Press button to get into plane” while your tanks stands still.

Would similar solution to “get into SPAA” work in GRB?

For example:

  • enemy player spawns a plane
  • you get a prompt “our observers reports, that there are enemy planes inbound”
  • if you have spaa in lineup you can just jump into it, while your tank is still alive
  • after you are done using spaa you come back to your tank and continue playing

I mean, i still wouldn’t use spaa, but wouldn’t that be at least “some way” to not having to die in tank in order to defend yourself against planes?

Question if your tank died by op CAS or verhicle are you suppose to stay in your spaa or losing any sp because sound very easy to get free verhicle without spending any sp at all.

There is the Skink at 5.3 AND every US tank is an SPAA in disguise.

Me: I would increase the BR for CAS in general (GRB only) and also get rid of the K-38 whatever. And add nerfs to CAS planes any way I do not care.

As of 06/04/2025 destruction of aircraft (heli) in GRB is worth about 60 mission score (event grinding number.) Destruction of scouted ground vehicle by an ally is around 120. You personally destroying a ground vehicle is around 200 points per vehicle. Why is it that fighting something on equal footing gives such a massive amount of points compared to fighting a vehicle with distinctly unfair advantages? Inb4 “spaa is sooo strong” it was with a tank

The SPAA all come as flat-packs and by the time they’ve finished building them, the CAS has already gone :P

They shouldn’t have to.
It just shows that even a flying brick can massacre a team in this mode without much effort

Perhaps there’s some parts missing and they need to go back to the store.

Literally this. The only reason I even play ground rb is because of helicopters. If we had an air realistic EC or a heli PvE mode that wasn’t complete dogwater, I wouldn’t even touch ground rb.

Yeah, its a real shame how neglected heli gameplay is outside of GRB or even PvE aspects of both ARB and ASB are.

Idk. I’ve played the 40mm truck and it’s stupidly
easily to shoot down planes. I don’t understand how 40mm truck, L62 anti, and Lvkv 42 players manage to miss a plane flying in a a straight line towards it.

From my own experience - because the plane is actually always going up or down and drifting a bit too so the fact it points the nose at you doesn’t mean it’s actually moving straight at you, and and your shells fly in an arc, so if you adjust wrong, you will be hitting high or low, and plane can and will kill you from over 1000m away and seedish 40mm has like what, 2 shells per second so oftentimes one shot is too low and the other is too high and after that 1s my plane is 130m closer… I have quite a few 900+m MG151/20 shots and MG151/20 has by far the worst ballistics among mid-late war 20mm cannons.

Menawhile Soviet 25mm hits just as hard or harder because of real shitter magic and it has more than twice the ROF in a single mount, and then there’s the 500 ROF double 25mm variant.

CAS need to spend RP to rearm at the airfield, id say that can help since ppl cant just stay in the air the whole game. Kinda makes it become more of a ‘reward’ like that in COD, and place emphasis on ground combat

Essentialy, right now you can kill 1.guy, spawn an attacker, kill 3.guys, spawn a fighter, again bomb someone, and if you do well enough, you may even eventualky respawn the attacker, lol. Wish I had more crews…

My typical gameplay is score 1-2 kills then spend majority of the game in the air.
