If the F-15C MSIP II (2005) is supposedly the last F-15C produced by the USA where is it's AESA radar aka AN/APG-63(V)2

Capabilities by itself can be earned earlier, like a F-16C

It is. F15C got JHMCS after 2005.

Is it modeled as JHMCS or VTAS in-game?

IRL it was tested with VTAS (F-4J HMS) well before JHMCS was a thing

Its JHMCS, or at least gaijins poor implementation of it

There is not a single video game I am aware of that has simulated an AESA radar, and I really doubt WT will be the first to do it.

I’ll just clear clear this up. The aircrafts configuration in game is realistic.

APG-63v1, JHMCS, CFTs, -220s is a reasonable configuration for the first F-15C in game. If you want to complain about it, complain it is missing its BOL CMs which should be in this configuration as well.

The APG-63v2 only equipped a single squadron, 18 aircraft, completing retrofit at the end of 2000. At the same time, other aircraft were only just recieving the 63v1 mod, and would continue to use it until they either left service, or were selected to be refit with the 63v3.

And because i saw someone earlier say it, no the 63v3 was not just a reliability improvement to the v2. It is a significant capability upgrade over its predecessor as well. It has an entirely redesigned antenna array ffs, to say nothing of the actual number of TR units.

Edit: its also worth noting even the base APG-63 in game is significantly underperforming, as is the 63psp and 63v1

Also, F-15A got some HMD during AIMVAL
An it’s different from JHMCS

If I recall correctly, F-15C MSIP II (at least the one in game) is from 2005/2006 due to JHMCS

The Su-27SM in game if I also recall correctly is from 2007, that being when it got L-150 installed (but I could be wrong)

I think they’re pretty fairly matched despite the DOS difference.

Hell, the F-16C-50 we have is also actually from 2007 and not just 2005 just based on the LITENING II targeting pod as some people are think.

Yep that was VTAS

The radra is not working as it should. As i said. There are a lot of stuff that can be made to the (V)1 so we don’t need the AESA’s just a proper implementation of the radar. But gaijobless puts their premiums at 75 dollars and can’t make a radar :))

No, Agile eye, some different thing, it’s HMD, not HMS as VTAS.

Supposedly the F-15s used VTAS 2

But, didn’t the air force have some kind of helmet-tracked IRST on the F106?

Eagle Eye also was made, for F-15
But not serial

Isn’t Eagle Eye a night vis system?

Here’s an army paper I found with a bunch more HMS/D’s

Tbh, i’m surprised I haven’t seen more people complain that the MiG-29SMT 9.19R in game is from 2014-2016

Not that I wouldn’t mind the mid 2000’s option of MiG-29s, aka MiG-29M2 but eh

It’s pretty typical for USSR/Russia to have a 10-20 year advantage depending on the aircraft, because year-for-year they’re just worse. The prime example of this is the 1972 SAC F-14 being .3 BR higher than the 1982 MiG-23 MLD.

Only reason I’m not going after the F-16C is mainly because it’s the block 50 and not 60-70
