Yeah and that Bug is STILL around in Custom battles, or in Naval. The game will just randomly lock onto things for no reason, even stuff you aren’t looking at.

Yeah, as a PC player, I can’t fathom how any possible advantage the auto aim/track assist that console users enjoy can even begin to offset the disadvantages faced by console users for being on consoles in the first place. As a lark, I fired up WT on my Xbox a couple of years ago just to see what the fuss was all about. I played maybe two games and quickly said “Well, fuq that then” and I’ve never even considered going back to console play in WT. I’ll take my mouse aim any day, thank you very much. :)

Yea it is dumb I play console and can confirm how useless this auto tracker is to any aircraft not 200 meters away flying straight at me …can get rid of it for all I care its useless dont use it lol

Go and play 100 matches on a controller, then come back and tell me how ‘unfair’ one mechanic is when they have to cram hundreds of binds onto a controller with 15 buttons (half of those used up for essential functions anyway)
When I switched to Keyboard in 2022 I became to improve instantly, the benefits of keyboard far outweigh the capability of controller when it’s reinforced with the gaffer tape solution of an aiming helper, this doesn’t provide anything but a white box around an aircraft within your main weapons max range and if you hold the left trigger you enter a state where you still have to manually adjust and lead your shots.
The only OP side of it is using a vehicle like the Tor or Pantsir so you can guide the missiles without radar and they will very consistently hit, although i haven’t gone and tested it in a while I am sure it’s still only viable on 1% of the vehicles that receive it, personally I would never go back to controller just for this feature, it’s simply not that good

Don’t care, it’s literally cheating. You bought a console, get good with a console. Nobody forced you to play on console. Doesn’t give you the right to use aimbot
