If a kill is granted why is crew lock enabled?

Will give them time to sober up lol

Yes I’m not trying to win the Air RB game mode it is a waste of time I am trying to get score the two best ways if you don’t have a bomber seem to be pillboxes and kills.

If my enemy dies I want credit for the kill if I’m in close proximity. If I’m not near the plane I have no expectation of getting a kill. There’s already a timer on damage to a vehicle counting as your kill.

Yes I’m a monkey for not wanting to spend an extra 30 seconds waiting for someone to kill me. Logic?

Last alive in an area, last fighter engaging.

Monkey or zoomer, yes.

Crewlock actually achieve no effect or exactly the opposite effect.

I’m a “monkey” or a “zoomer” for being too stupid to as to want to waste 30 seconds of my life.

Imho it is justified (in air rb) in case the player crashes due to incompetence controlling the aircraft. At least in theory it should encourage him to l2p.

Giving a crew lock prevents (in the best case) that he weakens another team with the same slot - at least for 8 minutes…

You are wasting hours by playing warthunder

War Thunder is a very fun game. I enjoy playing it. I do not enjoy when the game punishes me for playing it.

When you come to understand that War Thunder isn’t a team game you will enjoy it more.

Wicked.

you can easily jump on another plane/tank and immediately avoid the lock.
and since it’s not even the vehicle you wanted to play in the first place, you care even less.

in GRB the crew lock is just stupid. If I don’t want to spawn with a second tank because I think the battle is lost, I will not spawn and spend silver just to prevent the lock. I will immediately join another game, without the locked tanks. Maybe in the second game there were the condition to respawn after the first death, but I’m forced to leave because the other vehicles were locked.

As you can see, crew lock achieves no effect or even the opposite effect.

actually good idea, spend the full repair cost to unlock the crew

Still punishes the user but makes the mechanic less arbitrary.

And then I’ll remove all the vehicle but the one I want to play and instead of a player that decide not to respawn in 30% of the matches, you’ll have a player that does not respawn in 100% of the games.

you can’t force people to play the way you want with punishment. It will not work. The only way you can achieve something is to encourage people playing the way you want.

I bet some j out faster then a machinegun can turn ^^

Tbh - your reply looks for me constructed and is not dealing with the OP.

I qualified in my initial post that it makes sense for Air RB. The thread is tagged as “air-rb” and the OP describes an Air RB scenario.

There are no player controlled tanks in Air RB - and regarding crew slots:

A pure Air RB rookie player rarely has multiple slots to join another match with another slot if he crashed due to skill issues. If he has more than one slot he is usually not a rookie, so he won’t crash in the first place.

It might happen that even experienced players are crashing like in post #6 - but shit happens - and an experienced player can always switch to another nation or another slot - the rookie with skill issues usually not, and that’s why i wrote:

I see the issues in Ground RB with this topic, but as the OP refers to Air RB and the topic is tagged as “air-rb” i do not see the necessity to derail the topic with Ground RB issues.

You can already do this using reserve vehicles

Yes so why punish newer players with arbitrary mechanics

Written here:

Imho you completely missed the USP of Air RB: One match - one life.

The mode was not created for tankers to gain SL/RP to play Ground RB. That the mode is used this way is the main reason for the massive deterioration of fun for dedicated pilots.

Exactly due to this mindset:

Air RB is almost dead as hordes of tankers with the same mindset flood Air RB lobbies.

Seeing the quality of your other posts in this thread: You are just trolling.
