Idea's for new US air BR

I think the A-4M would probably be higher BR than 9.0 if added for air. It can carry 9L’s. Based off of the current in-game BR’s I’d imagine it being around 10.7, similar to the Italian AMX or possibly 11.0. In the suggested BR’s I think it could probably go around 11.3.

Also the A-7’s seem pretty high, not just in the suggested BR’s but in-game too. Same air-air loadouts as the AV-8A/C but far worse flight performance. I think both A-7’s could go down a bit but the AV-8C should come up too. Around 10.3 I think would be ok for them.

this doesn’t really matter, it shouldn’t be allowed to kill planes that cant defend themselves to any degree

js dodge the 20mm, itll run out of fuel or ammo. or wait for them to screw up to shove an AIM-9B/third party the F-104.

@Morvran in my experience AIM-9D is quite lethal against F-104A even on subsonics (A-4N)

I didn’t mean uptier the F9F-5! I meant maybe downtier the F9F-2, it isn’t much better than the F2H-2.

They get better missile in this sheet that’s why.
I was thinking about the Av-8c moving up but it is pretty bad in my experince like most harrirs are.

Also I thought the A-4M could carry 9d’s I was hoping to keep it with those becuase its speed will hurt it at higher BR’s

Ill try playing it again but until then I think im going to leave it because i remember it losing all its speed and just being a pig

One of the major buffs it got. A lot more thrust.

I also need missing muntions for the Air in Ground RB BRs

I added the stuff you said btw same with @quartas121

They get the same missiles no? The A-7E and AV-8C both get AIM-9G’s. The A-7D does get worse though with 9J’s so it could do with being a bit lower but the difference would be minimal.

Honestly the Harrier’s are pretty good now. A decent FM buff from the latest update they feel a lot better than before. Still needs lots of work but are much better.

The A-4M is honestly quite a big upgrade from the previous versions. A much better engine will help it perform quite a bit better than the earlier ones. It would be like the difference between the A-4B and the Ayit, pretty much night and day difference.

Ok ill move it up

Ill move it to 10.0

what exactly changed on AV-8C?

All Harriers have a thrust curve where they gain different thrust at different airspeeds. They now produce a lot more thrust at lower air speeds. Meaning they retain and regain air speed better in a fight.

@MatrixRupture can give you far better specifics

I just stepped away from my computer for a bit they will be top of my list though, i’ll be back to it in a bit but rn im on the forums on my phone.

They produce the same thrust at low speed as before (I will nerf it to the installed thrust figures for accurate VTOL)

They now make more thrust with higher speeds so basically the thrust doesn’t half by the time you get to .7 Mach.

They increased the trust output with viff meaning up to like 50% nozzles will produce more standard thrust than before.

Flaps deployment has been changed so you can use them in turns.

Its now impossible to wing rip them.

Lastly wing efficiency was increased by about the same amount the F-104 wing was decreased.

Even after all that they are falling behind the mark.

How would you say it compares to an F-8E (that’s what I’m on rn)

Even in Air rb my sea Harrier butchered the F-8 I even have video proof. At high alt nonetheless.

First fight is V F-8 second is V F-5 both are out classed

After watching these it looks like it’s doing better i’ll move it up.
