I don’t understand. They could just delete these functions and add them at a suitable time in the future. This is not their first time doing this. There are a large number of vehicles and ammunition with deleted functions in the game to maintain alignment with other countries. Why can’t we have IRFNF ammunition that aligns with other countries

That would be my preferred way of them handling it.
While I’m not sure about the CM502, the LMUR (at least on the MI-28NM the only heli in game that actually uses it) dosnt have the satellite/ drone data link for NLOS, it can fire the missile on IOG to a target point then designate a target via datalink to the missile seeker once its in range, but that requires the heli to stay exposed until the seeker can acquire a lock.
Also both LMUR & CM502 are limited to a max of 4 on a heli, half the amount of NATO F&F heli missiles (and HE only warheads as you mentioned earlier).
I would be seeing them next update with more advanced aa, along with sead weapons

Drones are generally slower than a supersonic fighter and you can take an example like Brimstone 1 which has a range of 20km from a fixed wing jet and 12km range from heli as a rough example of range drop from the switch. I would assume the drones in question are at the bare minimum sub-sonic, if not relatively low subsonic? Though would be fired from higher.
25km probably still translates into at least 15km, maybe more, for a heli. Given that we have multiple nations stuck with 8km SAL weapons, who have been denied their FnFs for a foreseeable future, adding 15km+ FnFs to China might be a tad unfair. I know china has a bad CAS line-up, but I think the focus probably should be on better Fixed wing AGMs comprable to the AGM-65 or up to paper weapons like the KH-38MT.
They could artificially limit the weapon system though to be on par with the Spikes and co though.
to be clear once and for all!! the 25 km range of the CM502KG is an excuse not to put it into play, yes the CM52KG does have 25 km range but on large targets like structures, boats etc., seek it to look for a fixed point at 25 km like the AGM 65 would do but a small and moving target will be locked at a shorter distance of around 12 to 15 km (I could be wrong) because the seeker will always have a limit on distance, target, weather etc.
stop using the 25 km excuse because in War Thunder we can do a test with you of the AGMs of the game and their maximum locking range on fixed and mobile targets and you will see that is exactly what I explained
among other things the CM502KG can very well be added to the game without being a must like the Su30 with the KH38

moreover the CM502KG has several heads for a start nothing prevents gaijin from adding the laser version of the CM502 then later adding the TV and IR
and as a replacement for the CM502KG gaijin can always add the AG-300M (it has been validated) with 18 km of maximum range in FnF but always limited by the type of seeker, target and distance so in the end it is the same theory as the CM502KG so between 12 and 15 km for the AG-300M of the FnF for small targets
Kh-38 is not on any helicopter, so comparing Kh-38 to CM502 is a false equivalence fallacy.
When there exists missiles on helicopters that can go even 20km, then I can see supporting it.
LOAL also isn’t part of the game as of current.

9X on aircraft [where LOAL would be needed] would also be 2026 as the current estimate.
The 9X we’re getting doesn’t have nor need LOAL.
If thats on helicopter, its still twice the range of current FnF helicopter missiles we already have in game.
Helicopter playing peek-a-boo style with these missiles would be untouchable.
KH38 is an absolute blight to the game and whoever approved it being added to war thunder should by all respects get fired for incompetence.

Problem is chinese heli also have ty 90 already making them very deadly to anything flying near 5km of any ty90 heli and then giving them a 25km fnf missile will just break everything again apache also just have hell fire for now 25km fnf is not viable

Kh-38MT and AGM-65D don’t have “LOAL”. They have line of sight lock, and they won’t go for any position other than a locked target point in line of sight.
Target point wouldn’t exist as a function in actual LOAL code.
KH-38MT will switch from a fixed point lock to an actual target if its within range when it enters about 12-15km. It has also been documented to re-acquire a target that has smoked and then accidentally moved out of the smoke.
That statement implies AIM-9B has LOAL.
