i mean even then the later F-15’s with these numbers of countermeasures (current ones can only do a measly 880 with BOL) are facing a whole different level of threat

Wrong, all the 15C does is that pulls harder and rates better up until around 550 kph, after that it stays on the losing side.

Both are boats, and the su33 is probably the 2nd worst flanker variant in terms of dogfight performance with the firsy being the su34.

and i have shot down a F-18C with a I-15 in a 1v1 dogfight before, does that mean the I-15 is a better dogfighter than the F-18?

And they are threats BOL aren’t gonna help with. It’s ECM that should do the job in newer generation air combat.
Flares still work. And chaff maybe less effective but in combination with EW could work better

Yes, it’s still worth it. It just has had the usual "it’s not Russian so the devs have made “‘certain choices’” in how it’s implemented that negatively affect it.

And in regard to your points 1 and 2 It seems to me they went the lazy rout of just C&P and didn’t bother to read shit all, so they see something about it reduces some form of CM capacity and went all out with it.
They did the same nonsense when they “reworked” the challanger 2 tanks and actively made them worse than they were… artificially changing ready rack sizes etc etc.
Eh most their shits pretty bad ingame regardless TBF, like the su27s when they dropped had worse FM’s than they were supposed to as well, same with the mig29s.
I personally now adays am of hte opinion of they just do not care and bugger up so much.
Even the su30 model is wrong xD like its one of their most Icononic planes and its models wrong.

While it’s true for the flanker’s, with the 29 it happened the opposite; it was good on release and then got nerfed making the fm quite dogshit
thought it was the other way about, MB mate, I know it was abhorant with the SMT but as well.
Good to know though, mig29 I was only fighting against when it dropped in my FGR2 so they all felt like UFOs xD

Yea pretty much, it was comparable to the F16A on release, and now a mig29 will get rinsed by the 16A every time in a dogfight.
