I need help with using the Leopard 1 in 8.0 so I can stop dying and get more kills. I understand there is no armor. I am used to having the good hull armor but bad turret armor on the Tiger II. I played it smart and thought methodically while having a slower pace gameplay. I sniped from long distances and avoided going to the center for caps. I rarely went for caps.

Research the M48A2 C and save up to 1,700,000 to buy bot h the M48 and 4 tanks of Rank V to unlock Rank VI. I need the Leopard A1A1 for the stabilizer.

Play BR 2.7 in the Bf-109 F-1 until I get a good plane for 8.0 ground. I am not good at dogfighting and decent in boom and zoom unless the enemy dives away. I struggle with getting research points or silver lions with the Bf-109 F-4 or the Bf-109 G-6 because the players are better. I typically lose 2,000-5,000 after every match because i struggle to get a kill. If I get lucky then i can get 1 kill. Most of the time I get 0 kills and just get shot down. This is very miserable.
and also im adapting to the light tank doctrine instead of being used to the heavy tank doctrine with the WW2 German Heavy Tanks.

How light tanks are used and mbts are used is not the same even in WT
So effective that even a 75mm Sherman can pen it
i understand, but i hear everyone saying that the leopard 1 MBT should be played as a light tank with flanks or sniping. when i used heavy tanks, i mainly used sniping
Yeah no the Leopard 1 is just bad. Its not your fault the tank just sucks lol
Try going for the G.91 I believe it gets AS-20s which are pretty good
Just keep at it tbh. Things get exponentially harder after rank V

It isn’t bad in the slightest. It’s definitely one of the better 8.0 tanks, but it suffers from BR compression.
+1 if you can aim them.
With only 1 tank, yes. After you get the M48 I’d recommend going for the Pzh2000, or grinding the light tank line and get the DF105.

checked it and it is in the puma line, but i heard people say the puma at top tier is trash, is that even true?
The Pumas are not good, but other tanks like Begleitpanzer, DF105 and I believe both TAMs are good. Other tanks like the M41 or BMP-1 will help fill out your 6.7 and 8.0 lineups as well.

1.2 ar234c would be the only choice with a 8.0 limit and it’s not bad but do expect op spaa
1.3 Shoot everyone down. Yet 262s = suffer. There’s no cure. With the skills to master the 262, one would be able to smash the whole enemy team in any other better jets.
2nd post 1. m48 is standard 7.7 performance, not bad but also nothing special. Do it when youre already half way there
Raketen is another good choice for 8.0, but you will hit the 5 vehicles when you have done the spaa line and pzh. Doing raketen or not depends on yourself.
2.2 luftwaffle moment. G6 isn’t bad in performance but it’s still disgusting to fly, g14 not worth the 0.6 br, g10 not better than k4
From what you have I would suggest k4 and 190f8 but both won’t work without skills

It’s one of the better 8.0s.
Leopard 1 players are a damn liability most of the time. So annoying. Most those players are better off staying 7.7 and grinding out the 8.3 lineup (since the good 8.0 are the lights that work at 8.3 anyway). Better off getting yourself the Gepard so you can actually support your team rather than getting nuked in Leo1.
- I haven’t even bothered with the Leo 1, BMP1 is much stronger and the Raketenautomat is a goddamn monster. Guess there is also the Marder 1A3, it’s pretty bad against ground vehicles but the autocannon is solid against aircraft.
As said by many, the Leo 1 is pretty bad, it used to be 7.3 if I remember correctly and that’s when it was still worth using. - Common GRB issue, grinding planes takes ages and most aren’t worth using anyways. You should have access to the Alouette now so you could use that, it’s insanely good and comes with 4 missiles stock.
- Sounds like you need to go play ARB/AAB, very sad but that’s how you get RP for planes.
