I feel like I am playing a different game from everyone else for the last 4 years at least.
This applies to ground battles also.
When I first started playing, I drove myself to not be 1 dimensional and get wrecked by superior players who knew tactics and how to use their vehicles efficiently and learn from them as best as I could.
Now, that thinking is incredibly rare.
Majority of matches are over as soon as they begin and majority are happy with that.
Hes not wrong, they have been adding more and more advanced stuff to the game without consideration of the fact that maps are still the same size. They add new tanks and jets without consideration of broken physics or balance. For example, the t90m was broken when it came to the game. They had 1 dev server then released it the next week. More and more copy paste is also an issue. Multiple issues they fail to address cause the disconnect between the community. Now 90% of this forum is a war between TT.
I did it.
I flew my last toptier battles before the Fox 3 era.
I started a new account, so i flew props a long time.
Now i have several nations grinded to 10.7.
And I can say, at all tiers I had the same annoying time.
99% of the players aren’t interested in playing AirRB properly.
No interest in winning, no interest in proper fighting, no interest in teamwork.
Everyone is doing his own thing.
And the common thing is gaining personal ressources for grinding.
And here we are at the point gaijin has it in their hands.
Changing the reward system of AirRB in a way proper playing AirRB gives them the most rewards.
Out of the 31 other people in a match with you maybe one is interested in actually doing proper aerial combat. Everyone is either brain off base bombing in fighters, mindlessly attacking the first target they see, crashing into the ground, turnfighting Zeroes etc., etc.
We’ve reached the point where BR 1.0 and 12.0 feel the exact same in terms of average player skill and involvement. That’s genuinely depressing.
The only goal I have for myself is get max activity in my squadron.
Other than that I’ll play whatever I can.
I haven’t touched air RB in almost 2 weeks until yesterday, got a tad burnt out so I played ground battles and helicopters more.
I also play 2 other games in the same day as War Thunder almost every day so I have even more variety throughout my free time.
It also lets me think about how I can improve my enjoyment in-game while playing the other games if I need to.
There are 13.7 BRs of air, 12 BRs of ground, 7 of navy, and heli PVE. Got plenty of options of enjoyment IMO.
Well thanks to economy changes nobody is forced to learn anything anymore as dying as quickly as possible rewards you with low repair costs. It is no suprise that ragequits are so common.
Doesnt matter to people who are obsessed with the grind. Now if deem a battle unsatisfactory for their attention span, they can leave it at the begining with minimal penalty and que to the next with single vehicle. This used to happen mostly with premium vehicles but since now losing a vehicle quickly costs ten to twenty times less, they are encouraged to do that on every vehicle they own.
