Well plans for the AiO wouldn’t include any MR style addition, it would mean a new system entirely and only plans for the SPYDER series in general. The CM response stated plans were intended for the AiO, if I had to guess it means I-Derby ER addition following dual pulse missiles in the future. MR/LR would likely come some time after that if I had to guess, but who knows maybe we’ll get a MR before then.
Thanks, does the I-Derby ER also use a smokeless motor? i dont think its needed if it were added
Should be, just like the other Derby missiles. The Python and Derby missiles should be all smokeless, along with many other ARH missiles ingame. Gaijin has held of on giving any smokeless motors for now for balance reasons it seems (cough some nations don’t use them and they Al’s want IR missiles and ARH missiles to be more distinguishable)
I just hope we’ll get a buff on the Spyder nothing else, and im not gonna grind another tech tree for a new spaa so lets just hope they do what the community wants, thank you both.
That looks similar to other launches of the Python 4/5 series I’ve seen, an it doesn’t look that dense in terms of particles produced compared to other missile launch footage. Seems kinda similar to a “reduced smoke motor” to me, or at least the ones we have ingame on some missiles at the moment. The only difference I would say is that they dissipate faster ingame than in that video, which is actually a variable gaijin can set for smoke trails iirc according to datamines.
Like the IRIS-T SLM?
I’ve never used it myself nor seen one firing ingame from close so I couldn’t tell ya
Yeah, the smoke is thinner compared to for exame OSA, but it is still quite visible.
But it is much more visible compared to for example P5
I mean the native smoke produced by the motor.
I mean in war thunder its kinda not accurate brcause the smokE COMPLETELY dissapears after 3 seconds
In case of I-Derby ER ver got bigger motor section because in these ver non-contact fuze integrated to ARH searcher
