Just now I lost at least 10k rp again due to this stupid bug, only counting the ones I recorded, I lost at least over 200k rp total due to this stupid bug, and that’s only counting the losses on the vehicles, not the mods.
I’m not hopeful that I’ll be able to get back the rp I lost due to the bug, but I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to get this bug fixed as soon as possible.
This bug has been going on for ten years, with countless people giving feedback on it, but it still hasn’t been fixed.
Or maybe the bug doesn’t affect gaijin making money at all instead it makes players take longer to grind so they purposely let it go???
what
i think that he’s talking about the bug that make you lose rp when you’ve finished to research something while in a game, it’s been going on for wayyyy too long
so thats why i sometimes end up having “exactly” the amount of rp to research something, but it happened so often. i was starting to wonder if it was a bug or not.
so gaijin actually knows about this bug? why havnt htey fixed it yet? we are putting in our time and dedication into this game. rp loss equals time loss. because we have to grind even longer now. what the hell, gaijin.
Gaijin likely hasn’t changed this because they may not consider it a bug but a feature.
In any case, this bug is avoidable in most cases once you understand how it works.
If you play games in rapid succession, change the module to research after each game. Pick a module big enough to accomdate the expected carry-over and the research from next mission. If that proves difficult, pick another vehicle for the moment. Or alternate beween 2-3 vehicles. Just don’t research the module again before the last game for this module is over.
So if you can’t stand it anymore, follow my advice and don’t lose any more points.
yeah its obviously on purpose, its only on you buddy, shame on u 🤷♂️

I certainly know how this bug works, but if you use a high level Premium vehicle to grind a low level vehicle, especially in AIR RB, once you die before the end of the game, then you have to waste a few minutes waiting for the game to end or else you lose a lot of rp by triggering this bug.
And as a player, I shouldn’t be bothered by this kind of problem at all, - in any other game, this kind of bug would simply require a small update to fix, but in WT it lasted for ten years
I can’t test it due to lack of a low level research target. But if I recall correctly, if you switch the tree research target after the mission, the game will fill in the surplus points into the picked vehicle.
I am not saying that the programming is great. But if the problem exists for 10 years and I have a choice to work around, I know what I would do. It still would be nice if they finally fix it.
I’ve tried this method, and if you quit before the end of the first game, change the research target, and start the second game, there’s a probability that the extra rp you got from the first game will disappear
Personally, I am not going to lose points on purpose to gain more insight into the bug (as the dude in the video did). I circumvent the bug as much as possible and meanwhile hope for a “quality of life” improvement. If however you want to investigate the matter further, I am much interested in your findings.
As a fun fact, Gaijin must have been pretty oblivious to this bug in the past, cause they used the same score tracking algorithm in some past events to trigger player progress. And there it benefited the multi match player massively.
Yes, there is also a bug to store rp, I think this bug is for the same reason as the one that causes rp to disappear
This feature used to really annoy me, i mourn the hundreds of thousands of RP its likely cast into the abyss over all my years of playing.
Another one which really bothers me, is when you are required to own all the vehicles of one rank to research the next (Happens in small tree’s like Israel). When you research the last thing, before you have had chance to purchase it and open up the next rank, all the overflow RP from that last match is deleted, because you had ‘nothing left to research’.
I just started keeping track of my modification progress / vehicle research, and I’ll never put the same lineup into multiple concurrent battles if something is close to finishing. (This prevents it from happening).
Also, I refuse to call it a bug. It’s a feature. It’s been here for longer than memory serves, and if it was something that was to the players advantage, it would have been fixed the same day.
who did i mock LOLL i was just trashing the game and no its not 99% its 100%
again, not a bug, its made on purpose by the devs so you will lose even more RP this “bug” could easily be fixed but they never acknowledged it in the first
theres many things like this that happen and people are starstruck that others are disgusted by this game
and not only should they give us the lost RP back, but they should triple it because this isn’t just an inconvenience its outright FRAUD and most likely on purpose too
Would be awesome and well worth the wait if this is why the current major update is taking a bit longer :)
make sure they triple the RP for the " solution in the works"
Actually, there is factual evidence to the contrary. I stated it above, but you may not have read the thread.
Gaijin used the same algorithm to trigger event drops and that caused multi-battle players to often get multiple drops. And no, they didn’t fix it the same day.
So what you say is not correct.
